You can play your hand at union-busting but the Nic Award stands for all time because it's legal, proper, and in the opinion of most non-Easties it's fair.

exB717Flyer never should have listened to Fergie's propaganda.  He should have been trying to get on at Delta back in 2007.  He'd be a Captain by now.

He stood pat with the rest of the West peanut gallery.  Thought the corrupt Wake/Baldock Arizona bar would deliver the goods.  Big mistake.

Now he has a choice.  Go with his junior Westie number or his junior TWA/AA number.  I see a furlough coming.

McDonalds is hiring.

OH NO!! I've got 2 negative votes!! What ever will I do?!?!? Oh yea.. I keep flying professionally, wait for the end of the SLI, wait for the (OTHER) Final & Binding seniority list, and bid what it allows me.
Gee! I sure hope that one of the other participants doesn't SUE (like they did before) and cry "It's not fair!!" (What will be the odds?).

Yes, what will be the odds?

Judicial Estoppel & a Pyrrich Victory are facts and not leading questions.

What do USAPA and Captain Vasili Borodin have in common?

As Andrei Bonovia said in the Hunt for the Red October, "You arrogant a_s. You've killed us!"

Judicial Estoppel = Pyrric Victory.

Anyone remember this classic moment in time?

It ain't over until the fat lady from Blacktop Pests sings.

Word is that she's been binge eating since the award leaked.  Too much stress.

Btw, who's the guy in the band on the far left that looks like a cadaver?  0:56 second mark.  Just curious.

Yes, enjoy your retirement, you did what we all aspire, to have a career that may one day bring us to the point where we can look back and be proud that not one passenger was hurt or airframe bent on your watch.

That you did what you were hired to do, enntrusted to ensure the safety of each and every passenger and crew member you were tasked with being responsible for.

I hope I have the same outcome.

Reading this past weeks posts I have to comment on two things.

1. The west performing some sort of a sick out.

The Phx base has been understaffed for years, with each year becoming more and more transparent.

Nothing has changed this summer, except the fact that we are even more severely understaffed. Each year grew into what it has become today.

I deduce that the company has plans with regard to what Phx may be in the future and they are willing to take numerous cancelations and service disruptions to negate the moving costs associated with a new seniority list.

No sense in properly staffing a hub that they feel will be right sized by the upcoming mass migration of future bid awards.

2. Nobody has leaked anything. Many rumors, but not one credible leak detected by anyone.

Those tasked with the trust that they won't leak, would never purgur themselves to do just that.

We will all know what the list is when we see it.

It's not your seat until I LET YOU HAVE IT!

(Well, until the government forces me to give it to you.  Socialist!)
Actually, I don't need your seat. I have my 330 seat with my DOH seniority just as it was supposed to be since I hired on several decades ago. I just want the wonderful ladies and gentlemen professionals with whom I have had the pleasure and opportunity to fly with all these years to have the same chance. I have taken away some knowledge with all those who I have encountered.

Enjoy your retirement, Bus. Perhaps we will meet at a future reunion.
