My, my. If I didn't know better, I would have thought that would have come from the Koran. It kind of blows hole through the Christians' argument that Islam is the only violent, hateful religion who uses its god for their own purposes. 
 
I, myself, do not believe in sky fairies.

Perhaps....BUT when airlines MERGE and ARBITRATION is used to MERGE those lists...the agreeing parties are BOUND by their word.  

 
I know exactly how you feel, CB53. Exactly, CB. I have been stagnant since the first arbitration in the captain's seat of a wide-body in Philly. Now, from what I have read, those LAA pilots are going to begrudge me my rightful seat on the 777 or 787 in LAX or MIA, provided that there are not separate ops until I retire. 
 
If that diminutive NB LAW captain who told me that I would be pulling the gear for him (once he learned that he was hired years after me and that I was a WB captain) were not so odious, I would commiserate with him also.

Well, I don't feel adequate to the arrogant task of presuming on His Will, but I'd take a wild guess that just some punk trying to usurp 17 actually worked years from others hardly does so "in the name of the Lord Almighty", nor is any such sad creature a soldier "of the armies of Israel", but what do I know? 😉
 
Just a thought though; were it indeed God's Will that your "righteous" band of only the purest of souls have your gift from "St nic"...don't you think that would've happened already? I mean nine years and counting seems a bit odd there...just sayin'...
 
P.S. Of course some slight possibility exists that despite "you'se" best imaginings, that the nic isn't really the central concern of our universe.

Didn't you get the memo?  "The rest of the world" is up in arms over the Nic and it's lack of a timely integration.  I have it on good authority that this is especially true on Southwest and Delta jumpseats.

It's so comforting to have cb updating us on timely information, like from 2007. I guess new news has a hard time making it into the fish bowl.

Still waiting on a response on that other forum about facts from 2005, like how many LUS pilots were furloughed and how many the west proposed to staple. I realize you have to go back a way, so don't hurry.

I believe that anything filtered through the the frail fantasies of our still infantile species, and thus subjected to our "interpretation" becomes necessarily corrupted. Note how easily fantasized "righteousness" and apparently even presumed Holy purpose can be imagined by the weak minded on just this thread alone. This applies to all known "religions", which are but constructs of given individuals/groups throughout time, and too often manufactured for their own personal reasons. Huge cathedrals, mighty mosques et al serve largely to befuddle and seduce...not to mention acquire money and power. Anyone seeking a notion of that which is infinitely greater than themselves need only look up into the sky on a clear night/etc.

Well of course sir! I mean, that's always been a given from the "spartan" perspective, hasn't it? i do well recall all the times "the rest of the world"/"the rest of the industry" were called upon as "witnesses" on these very boards, come to think on it. 😉

Oh yeah, the "rest of the industry" thinks you guys are ____ and _____ and _____. They never talk about their own reputation in Australia or what any former Wien Air Alaska pilots think of them. These "broad brush" characterizations work two ways, but I'm quite sure "the rest of the world" couldn't give two squirts about the old abortion ALPA merger policy produced almost a decade ago.
