757 ETOPS

I don't care and I'll take my chances 😀

Since I'm the type who doesn't really interact with F/As other then a "hello" "please" and "thank you" - I'd rather take a good seat / inflight product over a smilin' happy F/A.

US should configure their aircraft, inflight service, etc. to make sure the customer is happy first and foremost. No happy customer = no repeat business = no F/As (or pilots, or agents or bag smashers, etc., eventually). 😀
WHAT EVER!!

What makes me soo frustrated with everything about this so-called Airline is...EVERYTHING is done half-@ss'd the first time with no thought to the outcome or product! Why can't ANYTHING this company do be planned and thought through to make sure it will actually work! Maybe then the employees and customers will have respect for management and this embarrassing Airline we all work for!

There must be some sort of disconnect here- the flight attendants are nt looking for the aircraft to be reconfigured with a lounge for the flight attendants, they are looking for vacumm toilets so lavatories are available, or human sh*t doesn't flow into the aisles, and chillers for the galleys so food is served cold rather than nearly rotten. Better configured galleys would provide a quicker and more effiecient service. These all seem beneficial to passengers to me. Am I missing something?

Trust me, the majority of your flight attendants are what is holding this scumbag experience together on your flights. We are embarrassed with our product offering and are pretty creative with trying to make it work. Most of us want to provide you with a better experience- no one wants to be the bearer of the anger and disapointment of our customers because of our ignorant poorly run company.

Let me get this straigt: you're saying that if US had state of the art galleys installed on its airplanes (international and domestic) that the FA's would be happy? I highly doubt it.

There are so many things wrong with US at the moment that even if all aircraft were re-configured over the weekend (or ASAP) there would still be very unhappy FA's. Would it make your job easier? Sure. But what would that do for your customers? Absolutely nothing! US would still have crappy on-time performance, luggage problems (especially PHL), bad business class / first class product, bad coach seat pitch, dirty planes, bad IT (www site and kiosks), bad IFE, average FF program, bad ticket prices, and bad wages and employee morale (see the pilot integration lovefest).

Until the customer is happy and returns (addressing some of the above issues would be a good start), you're going to have to suck it up in badly designed galleys.

Ok, well those are all out of my control and don't look to be improving soon. Silly me, just trying to improve my small part of the puzzle. I'd get working on the frequent flyer program and baggage problems but I would feel like, as a flight attendant, I'd be stepping on people's toes.

You are absolutely right, there is no point in us as front line employees attempting to try and improve things, big or small. A turd is a turd is a turd, we should just give up. Hopefully you have left and everyone else will follow. I wonder if you have though, with your interest level high enough to post on here?

I knew we were despised by our employer, I wasn't aware we personally were so despised by our customers. Oh well! We won't be seeing you so no worries.

It is a free country, I can be interested in & post as I feel like it. BTW - no need to get your nipples in an uproar. I'm just stating an opinion, that the priority for US should not be to make FA's happy but to make customers happy. It's not despising anybody, just telling it like I see it.

Nope, not everybody.

I don't despise you or any of the great US employees. You folks are great. Hopefully I will be lucky enough to fly with you, EMBFA, one day! You sound very nice and the anecdotes you make are hillarious! Would be pleasure flying with you and giving you some Above and Beyonds Certs.

You're right, vacuum toilets and chilled airline food make me wet. Nothing excites me more than space in a galley for a Duty Free cart. It's all for me.

I'm not the one eating the warm, rotten dog sh*t we serve. Hell, take the galleys out completely, I'll sit in the back and do the amount of work equal to what I'm paid for- sleeping and then lifting a lever on the door when we get there.

Whatever! 🙄

RUMOR HAS IT that we'll be doing BOB to Europe soon...wonder if that's going to be $5, 5 Euro, or 3 pounds?

Just a hunch..but it would be more cost effective for the company to do this, rather than reconfigure the galleys...

and before you flame me...just remember who you work for

I am certain that any unhappiness is exacerbated by equipment designed by morons. The galleys are true abortions and rarely is anything stored in the same place, resulting in a recon mission before even attempting to fill a glass.

Between ovens catching on fire, chillers that heat, ugly blue A&W drawer "slides" that don't slide, overflowing toilets and dealing with the incompetence of Tempe I am quite certain that unusual stress is a normal part of the F/A preflight, before the passengers arrive. It is needless.

It is bad enough the Tempe troglodytes cannot even get wt&bal data into their computers after an aircraft reconfig, resulting in useless denied boardings, after boarding, and resulting delays.

Frankly, if the F/As wanted to walk off, I would not blame them.

Documenting the above sure has been fun with my new camera. Good job, Parker!

Hold on there, Smooth Operator!

Who needs those? I can buy EMBFA a quality beverage at the Sea Shell.

Well then, my family will cook EMBFA a hearty Polish meal w/ Barszcz, Pierogi, Salatka's along with a delicious desserts.

I bet you are the first one to complain that your food is cold and the FAs were miserable. The fact is that I can spend an hour before the flight trying to find a place to put everything that has been catered on the counters, all the time not getting paid and still do my best to serve it with a smile. I guess with your attitude I should just kick it out the door since obviously you don't respect the person that will save you life if anything happens on my airplane. Point is, if I don't have the tools to do my job, then you will not be completely happy with your experience.

How about this, we all move on and forget about the frugal flyers remarks. Back to the 757 ETOPS topic that got hijacked. The state of our 757's to Europe are absolute trash. A few new blue seats thrown in. No thought of passenger/employee ease or comfort. NONE. All the answers you get are "we understand, we're looking into it, the cost was just not justified"...blah blah blah....all bull.

When you think about it, it is ironic that EVERYTHING is done HALF-@ss'd by a company run by @ssWHOLES (sic)
