Jeff Mclellan just said we are updating the interiors. Did anyone here any kind of time frame?

I had understood the company response was they would be seeking permission from the board of directors to spend money on refurbishing the 767 fleet.

I hear that it will occur after the summer rush. it's about time....but i am glad they recognize the problem...

Well it's only 10 aircraft. One would hope they can certainly get them all done by next April - or sooner. I think the biggest push should be a complete redo of the Envoy seats and softheart IFEs. These 767s reflect directly on the image of US held by many Europeans and will have to suffice until the 350 or 787 comes along. Let's hope they do it right!

It's also theoretically possible to sell it by saying that if we refresh the interiors of the 767 now, we can keep them on the European routes until the A350/787 shows up - and then, after they're booted off transatlantic, they can live out their leases working premium transcons or Hawaii service to amortize the new interior investment over an even longer period of time.

If US can get out of the Airbus agreement, because of the A350 fiasco, maybe they can convince Boeing to upgrade the 767s to 777 interiors for free in exchange for a 787 order.

Boeing will not do anything for free, they are a business to make money for their shareholders and if you look around the US/HP combined fleet the majority are Airbus.

good those things are so nasty. what will be the first new us interior those or e190s.

I'd like that, as I'm not thrilled with the idea of 57s to Hawaii. I know that the jump from PHX to Hawaii is no longer than a TC trip, but when you're trekking over from the east coast, you feel kind of beat up in a 57 as you leg it out to Hawaii.

But a decision to refurb the 67s seems to infer a longer committment to the future and the possibility of change.
