A340's on which pilot contract?

Plenty of SCABS at A-WEST I'm sure they would do it in a heartbeat!

There are a very small number of pilots in the west that are listed on the "official scab list" ....if one exists :blink: .

We will abide by the TA that we signed if the aircraft are based in PHX. We will go through whatever process deemed necessary and follow through with the end decision.

The difference you ask?? We won't turn coat and cry NOT FAIR! We will abide by the agreements that we signed and hold our head high. We will be true to our word and priciples.

To those pilots that believe that Jack and the boys DO NOT HAVE YOUR BEST INTERESTS in mind: Call your representatives and demand that they send in the JNC to complete a contract IMMEDIATELY. Doug has the money, and together we can negotiate a better contract.

To those pilots that believe Jack and the boys DO HAVE YOUR BEST INTERESTS in mind: Call your doctor and ask that your medications be increased.
 
Amazing...I am still not convinced the 340s are ever coming to this sorry outfit and I will not believe it 100% until I see the first one break ground on the way to Peking . This is a tried and true USAir tactic, the "carrot and big stick" technique. As far as I am concerned, Dougie can shove the 340s where the sun never shines. You know, at least us Easties know, they are going to have strings attached. Just look at this thread. Oh, oh, I want to fly the big plane, oh, oh. Pilots are so predicatable and management uses that against us every time.

Also the official scab list does not come up on the internet anymore, what a coincidence that you mention this and now it is not available to see on the web recently.

You are one bitter fool. Get over yourself and your FBI connection. Who cares!! We have some damn good West pilots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You need to get professional help soon. America West will always go down as the safest, no accidents airline in the World. It amazes me, you people can't even be greatful for anything. Get a life!! We have great people both East and West, start counting your blessings, and stop blaming all your problems on the West pilots, they didn't make the merger.. So put your anger towards mgmt!!! JMHO
 
They still haven't said where these A340s are coming from...will they actually be new builds? Substituted in place of some of the A330-200 orders? OR will they be leased from the secondary market? I have a hunch that Air Canada wants to get rid of their A343s, since they are transitioning to an all Boeing wide body fleet. We already had a chance to grab 2 of their A340-500s , but those airplanes have since been sold/leased to TAM of Brasil.
 
The company already is looking at a few A340s from another carrier..so the first group of 340s will not be new builds...Airbus can not even have them made by the 2009 start date of China.

And how did you arrive at that conclusion? Airbus uses the same production line for the A340-300 as the A33x, which has recently been ramped up. There should be no problem, especially with US's leverage, in getting 2 A343s by year end 2008 if they are ordered within the next 2 -3 months.
