AA Terminating 777 Leases

I agree with this post especially in the last few years. You wanna know why AFW,TUL quality has gone down? AA has adopted the TWA maintenance program. Which is: Do the bare minimum maintenance to comply with the regulations. We used to remove the seats,carpet at every C-check. Not anymore! Galley and lavs used to be removed every third or fourth check, Not anymore. Cargo's were opened up every C-check, Not anymore. A flight test was done before every aircraft was delievered, Not anymore. Numerous other checks that we used to do have been eliminated. Cut and Cut and Cut and Cut. That is all AA has done in the last few years and with AA c-check intervals now going to be practically doubled. The problem is only going to get worse.

How's that "NO CHECK" TWA line maintenance program going ch53D?
Not true, dont blame TWA for shabby maint checks, I recall after AA got TWA we would get AA MD80s to layover overnight and get no maintenance check at all, just check logbook, if no open items put it to bed, every TWA plane that laid over got maintenance at a mininum a TP or PS check.
