ALPA RULING OUT

JUST MORE TALKS IN JUNE ACCORDING TO PRATER

Yup....June....I'm surprised that they could find time in their "busy schedule" to even manage to make time for it next month...after all...they've doubtless got so many "more important" issues to address....Haay-Zuess.

Their most pressing questions are likely: "Have the East guys given up yet?"..."Is it possible that we can drag our feet and forget about all this?"

Decertify now!

Go ahead and decertify, I got it from a good source(USA320) that American is looking for turnkey access to a broader east coast presence.

That was a joke, but you never know what kind of weirdness could possibly go down.

No union, no cba, employees at will with no protections.

And Nicolau's list will still be binding! Re of ALPO or not.

I don't think that the Easties are being "counselled" properly. Recall and get new HEADS there.

Meanwhile the Westies will still make what? $20-40k per year more?

Come on guys, use your "upper" HEAD!

If the list will still be binding why on earth would Prater not have just said so immediately? Hmmmmmm?

The list is not going to stand fellas. One way or another. As I understand it the vote was 18-1 with the AWA EC member the lone dissenting voter on the resolution that was passed.

ALPA is going to do something or they would have stopped the proceding today. If the award was binding and unchangeable it would have been stated as such today.

If you think this is ALPA biding its time you don't understand the seriousness of the situation the EC finds itself in and the knowledge they have obtained that allows them to overturn the award.

Bottom line: If the AAA and AWA MEC's cannot come to a mutually acceptable change to the Nic award, Prater and the EC are indeed going to void it on the grounds it does not follow the stated merger policy. The EC sees it plain and clear.

It's just that plain and simple.

IF east side did happen to de-certify ALPA and form their own union, then LCC is merged with another large ALPA carrier, could the east pilots be stapled to the bottom of the new merged list?

Didn't AA do this to the TWA pilots ?

Such is certainly possible. It's equally possible that the entire AWA/US "list" would be stapled below those of a larger entity, based upon the Nic award's total abrogation of DOH/Length of Service/etc. The future's always an unknown. The current mess is not.

Are you a mind reader? How could you possibly know what "they" are thinking. I tend to rely on written law, by-laws, etc, to make assumptions.

The Vote was 14-1.
99% of the members of the Executive Council agreed the list is flawed. How could the EC ever go back to the position the list as publish can stand? If 99% of impartial parties agreed there was something wrong, I'd say there's a good chance something was wrong. In any case I hope you guy's come up with a fair list that works for all of you.

I'd also have to caution the poster bragging about making more money.
Can you spell whipped saw. The longer the pay issues continues the bigger risk the west has of losing flying. I’ve read your section 1 or should I’d say lack of section 1. Maybe the weakest in the industry.
