AMR Bankruptcy Update: Docket # 3084 Debtors [proposed] Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law

Funny US only took three rounds of concessions, two in the first chapter 11 and one in the second.

Strike two of misinformation from AA.

Josh why do you constantly lie?

AA took concessions as far back as 1983.

And how many times do I have to explain to you that ALL the unions at US were forced to negotiate concessions or face contract abrogations when US filed Chapter 11?

For someone who is in the banking industry, you have no clue.

And AA, got concessions from APA, APFA and the TWU in 2003 without AA being in chapter 11.

Dont let the facts get in your way.

Every airline union had to give concessions when the respective airline filed chapter 11, either being consenual (I use that term loosely) or have it forced upon by the courts.

US Air?

They didnt exist in 2002, that would be US Airways since 1995.

dude you paint a real rosy picture of usair..........ONLY TWO ROUNDS OF CONCESSIONS IN THE FIRST AND ONE ROUND IN THE SECOND? and thats better than four rounds of concessions by one?

Do you not understand the chapter 11 process?

We had concession forced on us, we had a cba abrogated and voted on a final offer.

And even after three rounds of concessions a US mechanic makes more than an AA mechanic.

But be honest, the Chap 11 process was brutal on US and its employees. The US pay rate is just now catching up to AA.

No it has been ahead and another raise is coming due.

Everyone calls your airline US Air, even other employees. Don't get why you are so sensitive to people calling it by a shorthand name. No different than calling American Airlines "American" or Delta Air Lines "Delta", people do that. Even if the new name was entirely different people still refer to names by their former. The Willis tower will always be the Sears Tower for example, despite the change in names. Same thing with names of streets, they change and people refer to the old name. Some roads have had names changed in the 1970s and still called their old name. My grandmother referred to New York JFK as Idlewild until she passed away several years ago. Not sure why you are so sensitive to it, USAir always has been and always will be a dumpy pitty little airline.

It's very interesting, whenever I question the IAM and concessionary agreements you put infront of the membership you are very quick to counter my posts, perhaps there is some truth and you just don't want it exposed.

Any truth to this article? Did you and your union encourage members to cross AMFA picketlines so IAM leaders could line their pockets with dues money?

Here is what your fellow members had to say: http://airlineforums...s-a-scab-union/

This best describes the IAM:

Once a scab, always a scab!
An injustice to one is an injustice to all!

boy isn't that the truth!

Josh why don't you tell us which crooked bank you work for? so we can all opine on how you are making huge profits robbing the public in various ways all the while sucking the goverment teat thru bail outs.

I find in funny how clowns like this one and World Traveler and signals as well, all of which by their own admission work for niether AA or US have such they are always right opinions about what is going on. Yet none of them have a dog in the hunt.

I think most US and AA employees could care less what any of you think.

Only starting in 2011, but the pay for 2003-2010 was less than an AA mechanic. They're making more now, but not a lot more. We will see what current negotiations hold for a better payrate.

A/A has the Rothchilds for their financial advisors, so try to see through all the lies and propaganda.

Its good thing that American Eagle is not part of AMR.
Their Fleet and AMT groups negotiations will continue on June 25, 2012.

Oh wait a minute, they are part of AMR, it is just that their negotiations go longer than ours...

Source: TWU 514 AMR update 06/08/2012.

Pardon my ignorance on not wanting to find this for myself, but did Eagle file for abrogation? I don't recall seeing either way.

Pardon my ignorance, but isn't Eagle part of AMR?

It is AMR that has filed bankruptcy and the ultimatum for the company was set to 06/22/2012. It would appear that, either Eagle is being treated as a separate entity or the date for Eagle has been moved.

To answer you question, I do not know anything concerning abrogation, either way.
