Anyone go to one of the Q&A sessions? I seem to recall that shortly after them people would post a couple pages worth of FAQs and the responses from management. Anyone have any word about A340s for China? Any progress with the PHL gates with the new Mayor? Any word on 2009 intl routes? New lie-flat seats for A332?

Anyway...you get the point....anyone have any word on these things or did they not do State of the Airline and FAQs this quarter?

Thanks!

Check the HUB.

I'm not an employee and can't access that stuff. I'm not saying copy and paste it in here (though I would like that)...but I really want to know if management addressed the questions I stated above...if you would be willing to at least answer them I would greatly appreciate it. But if no one wants to I will just shut up and assume that I will hear about it sooner or later

Per the FAQs,

Kirby and Isom have been talking to PHL officials, but there is nothing official to report yet. As a side note, US will be operating the same number of daily TATL departures out of PHL this summer even with the addition of LHR, as LIS/SNN/GLA will be 5 wkly and ARN will be 6 wkly.

The application to the DOT still lists A340 as the a/c flying between PHL-PEK and there have been no changes yet (expect more info in the coming months).

No mention of anything regarding the interiors of the A332s. I believe they will taking 6 next year, though.

Hope this helps

From an inside source, the China route is definitely going to be flown on the A332 if its kept at all. The company realizes that they will not make a profit on the route for up to 3 years and the route is expensive to operate and maintain.

Wow....this Tempe team really has it over the competition. They know they can survive without Asia. They know they can survive without VFF's. They know they don't need to offer service that reflects the high fares they charge. Will it be LCC that is the lone survivor?

Thanks so much! I appreciate it

I have a PDF transcript of the FAQ's.

I have no problem distributing it. Just not here. PM me with a confidential e-mail and I'll see you get it.

All all will say publically is "When People show you who they are, BEIEVE THEM". There work speaks for itself, who am I to interupt.

Thanks for the offer Piney, but someone was nice enough to PM it to me without me even having to request it from them specifically.

What I really wanted to see were the A340 questions and answers. There were about 3 that basically said...our application is for the A340 blah blah blah....I'm not exactly holding my breath that they will keep their word though

Jesus, what a bunch of morons. They put everybody through all of this to end up at that conclusion. Please just sell the place now, I'd rather take my chances via fragmentation then have the clowns continue to embarrass US

Had a couple of recent conversations about this with people in the SandCastle who should know what's happening with this. They indicate that China will happen - but it's becoming less and less likely that it will happen with the A340. With fuel as high as it is now, the cost equation has changed dramatically and the A340 is not fuel friendly. If A340s can be acquired at a dirt cheap level, then they may still try it, but the A332 (with restrictions) is looking more likely.
