Did Kasher say which work was yours? Or did he consider the worth of the additional TWA assetts when formulating your seniority? The primary purpose of the Kasher decision was to settle a dispute between the two unions concerning seniority, not to direct the company on how they run their business.

Should the company decide to close Tulsa, and ship all the work to MCI would the Kasher decision prevent that?

What in the Kasher decision prevents the company from doing the opposite?

As far as where you can go, you could probably make it to NYC. More than likely most of the guys getting laid off could make it to another station. How many actually have no choice but the street?

 Bob quit trying to through this line off course! Maybe I gave you more credit than I should have! You know there is no way their going to close TUL! So stop trying to stear that pot! It's not going to happen! You know it, and so do I! Now! I gave you a direct quote from Kasher! You tell me, What he means! We'll soon find out, because from what I'm hearing now there is more that just one greavance out there! There maybe a couple hundred! And believe it or not, one from one of our local nAAtive employees!!! Copes to Kasher, our local Congress persons! And a few discrimination complants to the Missouri Dept to top it off!

<_< So you got it all figured out do you? Your willing to except Kasher's decision on senority, but not his decision on April 24th. 2002, pg.23, as quoted in my previous post! This is a greavance! At least at this point! Let's see what, if anything, comes of it!!! We as TWA bought more to the table than you and your few employees are willing to admit! Those aircraft you refur to, are making a.a. money! If they weren't, they would have already gone back to the leaser!

So are you saying that MCI mechanics should work on aircraft that were specifically ex-TWA? Yes, some former TWA aircraft were converted in TUL, is this the reason for the anger? But as I said earlier you guys have been and are doing a good amount of maintanence on nAAtive aircraft. I check sabre every day and I know what is in MCI. In fact, when I checked today, there were about 5 nAAtive MD-80s (including the former Reno Air aircraft) and 2 nAAtive 767-200s in addition to the 3 former TWA MD-80s and 2 former TWA 757s.
As to your second point about TWA bringing more to the table than we are willing to admit, lets see. They brought a STL hub which was not that valuable after all since AA cut it 70%. Can you say with a strait face that STL is as good as DFW or ORD for AA in terms of being a hub? Your not going to make money flying 6 MD-80s a day between STL and Des Moines. International route authorities? Almost all TWA's international route authorities were to Europe and the Middle East. Europe is now basically open skies (that is why TWA wrote down the value of it's route authorities) and as far as the Middle East, it is obvious why AA won't fly there. So the TWA's international route authorities have little or no value. The MCI maintanence facility? The facility opened in the mid 1950s making it around 50 years old. It is an old worn out base that has been patched together over the years ( I'm criticizing the base NOT the people). Compare this to TUL ( AA's huge primary maintanence base) and AFW (New, state of the art, and I hear revenue generating in terms of water treatment?)
The only thing I can think of with the highest asset value was TWA's gates and slots in LGA, DCA, and ORD and the slots in JFK along with the aircraft.
AS to your last point, according to AA, no aircraft (AA or former TWA) are making money. AA signed leases for almost all the former TWA aircraft. With the glut of airplanes in the desert, the leasing companies are happy to have AA locked into the rates they got when AA renegotiated the leases on the TWA planes. Do you think that the leasing companies are going to let AA break the lease when its to their( the leasing companys) advantage? The only way AA can break the lease is in bankruptcy.

<_< As for geateful! Come on man! Do you think, for one minute, that a.a. do'es anything out of the goodness of their hearts?? How old did you say you were? If there wasn't potental for a.a. to profit from MCIE, it would have already been closed! You know that, and so do I! And friend, we are pulling our weight here! So don't try to put a guilt trip on me!

AA is a business, so I know it has no heart. I am surprised that they are keeping it open because where I am at now they are getting rid of all the overhead they can (turning gates, bagroom , and counter space back to the airport) Maybe they have or are negotiating third party work so they can make a profit. They are keeping it open for a reason. As far as you guys pulling your weight in MCI, in one of my previous posts, I complimented you all on your experience, professionalism, quality of work and the fact that you get the work out on time or early. Lastly, I was not putting a guilt trip on you. I was pointing out the fates of the mechanics at other airlines. Some former TWA people, after not getting all their seniority at AA, said that it would have been better if UA or NW had purchased TWA's assets (assuming they got their full seniority at these airlines). Lets assume you ended up with UA. When UA got rid of all their heavy maintenance mechanics, MCI would have been the first to go, then OAK and IND.
