Bush Won, America Got It Right Again!

Read this from the AFL-CIO web page about what is described in Hightowers book as "The Miami Model". If that doesn't scare you about how Bush and Ashcroft view their domestic "fight against terrorism", I don't know what will.

What that article doesn't tell you is that there were dozens of violent infractions committed by the protestors that endangered law officials safety, and the safety of the general public itself. I should know, I was there working in Miami that whole month. With very few exceptions, I praised the Miami-Dade Police Department and how it handled the whole situation.

Peaceful demonstration is one thing, and many of the demonstrators were peaceful. But many, on the other hand, were not.

When the first subway, train, bus, and car bombs start exploding around our cities, we'll see how right the Bush "people" are. If you think Al Quaida wasn't waiting until AFTER the election to start their terror, you are as stupid as bush himself. IF and when all that happens, you arrogant, radical idiot Bush supporters will get exactly what you deserve.

Bin Laden? Is that you? Wow, we have the leader of Al-Quaida right here on US Aviation! Can we get that translation in Arabic too? I'm very impressed with your verbage, now go back to hiding in your hole.

The point in Hightower's book and the AFL-CIO site is that many peaceful demonstrators were also arrested. Many people were arrested for doing nothing worse that obeying an officers orders to leave - even though they had nothing to do with any protest. It also mentions in the book that there were several police plants who posed as violent protesters. I know, I know, it's all about national security. I'd bet you a dollar to a donut that there wouldn't have been near the amount of "violent" protests had they been allowed to actually get somewhat close to the event they were demonstrating against. Bush and Ashcrofts strategy appears to make it where if someone wants to protest in Seattle, they to report to a "free speech zone" in an Iowa cornfield, lest they be arrested on suspicions of being a terrorist.

And 8.5 million to pay for it...that would have bought a lot of body armor, had it been used for the purpose it was intended to be used for...soldiers in Iraq.

Does being a person who doesn't believe that Bush has made us any safer from terrorism on our shores make us Bin Laden? Bush won based largely on the fear factor. Now...he'd best step up efforts for DOMESTIC protections from terrorists. Because if you think that they are "afraid" to try another attack on US soil, you're glasses are just as rose colored as Bush's. It may not be on the scale of 9/11 - but anyone who thinks that Bush's reelection has made us safe from attack isn't living in the real world. Just look at Israel, a country that has a history of "swift and severe" retaliation for terrorist attacks on their country...still terrorist attacks are almost a weekly event over there.

No, it just sounded strikingly similar to something I heard UBL say on Al-Jazeera a few days ago.

but anyone who thinks that Bush's reelection has made us safe from attack isn't living in the real world.

I certainly feel safer than with JFK in office. But it's all a matter of opinion.

You never did get it, did you. If you had ever read his testimony before Congress you would realize that it was the Vietnam-era government he was calling war criminals.

Total unadulterated bullsh*t! Kerry testified before Congress what others (radical anti-war activists, many of whom were "Vietnam Veterans Against the War" who weren't even vets!) said, i.e. that Vietnam vets are committing atrocities. He didn't say "Others believe that Vietnam vets committed atrocities but I don't." He didn't say that they weren't war criminals because they were following orders and the government is the war criminal. That crap didn't work at Nuremburg either.

If I go before Congress and testify that hundreds of people I've talked to swear that John Smith publishes kiddie porn and people accuse me of saying that I believe that, they're right. Even though I didn't testify that he does, I didn't express an opinion denying it either.

Even Kerry admitted his testimony was "over the top", but, like Jane Fonda, never had the decency to apologize for the testimony.

Spoken like a know-it-all, ignorant, right-winged, fundamentalist jerk who thinks yer fer us or agin us. If you think the days of terror to this country are over, you are as stupid as Bush and the other 5o million fear mongers who believe their God is THE GOD. Oh and we know what seperates Republicans from Demos is how good, orderly, and christian they are, Oh, And honest. Looky here, folks, we have old honest republican Richard Nixon back from the grave. Oh, yeah, I forgot, he just got caught. Now go back to your church and pray for world dominance, or something very christianlike as that.

I stand on my opinion. Anyone like you who ever disagrees gets the typical republican holier than thou bullsh*T. Thanks for confirming my belief of them.

That's all you've got? Just a bunch of name-calling? Sad argument. Very sad indeed. This shows your true character, though... or lack thereof.

Just for the fun, could you please quote the parts in Kerry's testimony that support your interpretation? And dont do a chop job like the swift vets, please show the statments in thier full context. In fact, why dont you just provide a full and annotated verson? If you feel strong enough about it you will try, but in the end you wont because the words john kerry spoke that day will never suport you interpretation. You can hate Kerry for comming out against the war, but dont distort his testimony cause of that.

He said that they were ordered to commit atrocities and that their commanders encouraged it. I saw that often enough myself there, and the fact that many would now prefer to pretend they never happened won't change the facts.

Incidentally, although I wasn't in the VVAW, I do know that those who joined were required to prove their service there, usually by presenting their discharge papers.

Now that the election is over, I hope that we can now finally put the Vietnam War to rest.

Read this:

One thing that is very strange is how much the exit polls differed from the final results, especially in Ohio. Remember that Ohio uses Diebold voting machines in many areas. These machines have no paper trail. Early in the campaign, Diebold CEO Walden O'Dell, a GOP fundraiser, promised to deliver Ohio to Bush. He later regretted having said that.

He doesn't allow people to protest at any public situation he's in now. He was at our country club last year for some Republican fund raiser and they tried to kick my kids out because they were wearing anti-Bush tshirts. Luckily, we belong (and he doesn't) so they couldn't make them leave. Regardless of how they feel, they are Americans and should be allowed to express themselves anyway they feel fit as long as it doesn't infringe on anyone elses freedoms. Bush et al do not understand that.
So what did their tshirts say, you ask? BUSH ARE A MORON! Seriously funny to watch armed agents try to chase down elementary children with BIG mouths....roflmao.
[post="197619"][/post]

What do you call all the demonstrations at the Republican Convention in NYC?? The only ones that were arrested were the ones that couldn't do it peacefully and they were rightfully locked up where they belonged.
So you dress your elementary aged children up in t-shirts with degrading political slogans on them at an age when they are truly too young to understand the verbage on those shirts and you are proud of it? I bet the laughter you were hearing was aimed at you and not the children.
