it seems we are lucky enough to have this president for four more years.

Here's my prognosis for just how "lucky" we all are.
1. Terrorist attack on US soil before the end of 2006. All our efforts against Saddam and his non-threat will be for naught.
2. Reimplementation of the draft by the end of 2006. This would have happened regardless of who was elected.
3. Net increase in job losses over the next 4 years. Keep a close eye on that one, Ohioans...y'all have a lot of manufacturing just waiting to move to a maquiladora on the border.
4. Stock market will improve, what with all the "cost cutting" efforts by the corporations. Since the stock market is pretty much the sole "indicator" of "economic health", we'll all be told how good we've got it.
5. Crackdowns on organized protests - they will be considered to be "suspected terrorists", and with this being a "lame duck" second term, public outcry be damned. Goodbye First Ammendment.
6. More tax breaks. Bigger deficeit. Bankrupt country with 3 years after Bush leaves office.
7. Islamic leader will be elected the Iraqi president. Iraqi civil war. More fun in the desert for us.
8. Iran will increase it's efforts against America. No help from our alienated allies.
9. The supreme court will shift from a conservative court to a neoconservative court, which will blur the lines between the legislative and judicial branches and result in a court that tries to enact laws rather than interpret them.
10. Negotiations with North Korea and their nuclear program will stall.
11. And if we're really lucky - World War III.
I'm heading out this afternoon to find my "don't blame me, I voted for Kerry" bumper sticker. I remember seeing the "don't blame me, I voted for Bush" on the bumpers of cars back in 1992. Saw them all thru the Clinton presidency, a time of economic growth and low unemployment. I hope that my bumper sticker, like those in the 1990's can be proven wrong. It's the only hope I've got.
