700uw provided the numbers for the M & R and they are also staggering.

Figures

The figures 700uw posted are incorrect. See link above. His figures we taken from payscales on page 78 of the October 1,1995 as modified by the September 17, 2002 and the January 10, 2003 restructuring proposals CBA. His payscale is clearly from and based on a set payscale and not based on Pay Parity as the Change of Control language specifies (see below). Pay Parity rates are impossible to publish in advance as the the formula used to calculate the rates has variables.

"Upon a change in control defined as the sale of all or substantially all of the assets or common stock of the Company or US Airways Group in a single transaction (or in multi-step related transactions) to a single purchaser (or a group of purchasers acting in concert), the hourly rates of pay under this agreement shall be increased to the rates which would have been effective following the Pay Parity Adjustment in October 2003 under the Letter of Agreement"

As I posted before the 2003 pay parity rates, which the change of control language says the snap back will be based on, was never published as the pay parity gone by then. That will be something for the arbitrator to research and calculate assuming the IAM wins the arbitration. The 2002 pay parity rates were calculated but were never used. They are below.

Base rate for topped out Mechanics

27.03 + 13% = 30.54 Base
2.90 + 1.50 = 4.40 both licenses

That would be for Oct 2002...Oct 2003 rates are unknown

Please use the correct information.

Remember the arbitrator will be the one to figure out the true rates and one can only assume if the IAM wins the change of control he will also order retro pay back to the date of the change of control taking place. One could also assume this is a cut and dry arbitration case. Either it was or wasn't a change of control. You get everything due you from the date of the change of control per the CBA or nothing.

The information is in the CBA and the pay scales are correct.

My calculations for pay parity regarding the change of control are correct and verified by IAMAW District Lodge 142.

The #s that I used are from the cba after the 1st bankruptcy.

Your figures we taken from payscales on page 78 of the CBA of October 1,1995 as modified by the September 17, 2002 and the January 10, 2003 restructuring proposals. I suggest you contact your union stewart or the District to get the facts. Or you can wait for the Arbitrator award if any. I won't argue with or respond to you again regarding it. It is cut and dry. The facts are in my posts.
