Clearly you've never spent a week at a Trade Show sharing a room with a belching, farting & snoring roomate now have you?

Please try it, then get back to me.

Are you the one belching, farting and snoring Piney? Do you pull the covers over your head after you let a big one loose?

New hire crew members share hotel rooms for six to eight weeks when they are in initial training and they survive it. It's a business and looks out for its bottom dollar. As I said, hourly employees are seldom in training, so I think it is a non issue. Crew members live in crash pads with twelve belching, farting and snoring pilots and flight attendants in the same room, on cots or child sized bunk beds.

Please try that, and then get back to me.

Actually this is corporate policy - all hourlied employees are supposed to share a room with same sex individuals while attending training / meetings / etc. The only exception are for supervisors and above.

Its been like this @ the Wholly owneds forever, and at most regionals.

This was not policy at the former HP. And supervisors have been made to share rooms with people from other cities, male with gay male. trust me the company is open to a huge lawsuit.

Who cares if a straight man has to share a hotel room with a gay man? Are you suggesting that the gay man will rape the straight dude or do something perverted? What you imply sounds homophobic and mildly offensive.

Well, if Floyd gets paired up with a breeder, she will go on a rampage. That girl is worse than Britney Spears when she is mad.

So did the gay male turn the male gay? How is this allowed to happen? Lawsuits galore, I'd imagine. :mf_boff:

Ok new hire crew members provide for their own living arrangements not provided by the company, so that doesnt count. Crash pads dont count either you know the person and chose to all share rent together in a single apt. Those are decisions YOU made to save money out of YOUR own pocket. the company never FORCED you to share a room. those were YOUR decisions.

Im not homophobic but whats the difference between that and putting a male and female in the same room that neither one knows the other. come on open your eyes this has sexual harrassment all over it if not RAPE.

You don't even what you are talking about. I am talking about real airllines, buddy. Not hokie operations that only hire people from Phoenix. In fact, I venture so far as to say that America West was the only airline that required you to find your own sleeping arrangements. Other airlines REQUIRE you to stay in hotel rooms with roomies. And, US Airways will do that again when they are fully merged because an airline of this size CANNOT just hire people from one city. Look at how the other big boys roll and do things, and get back to me. The world of aviation neither began nor ended with America West.

See Debbie, I told you Floyd and his kind can't control themselves in any situation. Whenever there is a galley curtain, he is always whipping it out when the pilots take a break. I've seen him turn more pilots gay than I speared fruit in the 80's--no pun intended Debbie, you know I'm not that witty.
