Damn'em To Hell I'll Let'em Furlough

Fascinating exchange here. A few thoughts just for spice...
Firstly, Mr. UAL guy...your turn is coming...just like DAL's and NWA's...lets see how you guys do...then revisit this board. You already have had a 2 year advantage at the "possibilty" of saving some semblance of your DB plans...how much lobbying has been going on over the 2 years? U pilots didn't have the advantage of time on their side. Mr. PSA, I agree with you in part, in that the J4J program is an abortion..and only helps to facilitate the outsourcing of mainline flying...it would've been better to keep you guys in props.
U has had the unenviable task of going through all this first...and everyone else (including unions AND management ) has had great opportunity to take notes.
Mr. WN Phd, or whatever, your smug attitude about this whole thing is laughable...you guys have been continually lowering the bar for everyone since the beginning in TX. It's just taken years for the effects to be seen, along with 9/11 and fuel. By the way, your excellent managers( and they are excellent) have some bad news for you in a few short years. Highest 73 rates+dwindling fuel hedge= trouble down the road...sell the Porsche now.
I'd be delighted to see the carcasses of the remaining legacies do something magnificently different to restore the "lost" solidarity that ALPA provides...but, since the notion of "brotherhood" is diametrically opposed to the business concept of "competitors"...I'll not hold my breath....

My good friend(SWA Capt of 20+ years) has actually admitted embarrassment over the predatory nature of his employer these days...since all his buddies are filing personal bankruptcy as his company laughs at it all. How bout you?

Did I miss something? what communication indicated that Pilot furloughs would be by equipment and not seniority?

didnt A320 indicate there would be no furloughs?

in fact isnt it true that while IN bankrupcty furloughs could have occured NOT in senority order but once exiting bankrupcty that option no longer exsists. period.

the question remains what will the seniority order officially become?
