Why are the Supreme Court Judges APPOINTED & not ELECTED by WE the people?

The Judicial Branch of the Government is only there to determine the Constitutionality of the laws that the elected branches of Government make. The other two branches, the Executive and the legislature make the laws, they are all elected by the people. Each state elects their own Senators and congressional reps while the President is elected by the entire electorate.

In the TWU the IAC/IEC which is basically our executive, legislative and Judicial all rolled into one-a concentration of power that our founding fathers sought to avoid because they knew it would end up corrupt-is not elected by membership vote.

The TWU is not modeled after our government but rather like the Soviet Politboro. The Soviet People would vote for Politboro members, thus enabling the Soviets to claim that they were Democratic, then the POlitboro would periodically vote for the Chairman. Any politboro member who actually represented their people would usually end up being charged with treason and be removed. Another trait that the TWU shares with the Soviets.

Why don't we get to select Bush's cabinet?

Because we get to select Bush. With the TWU the members do not get to vote for the President or the people like Jim Little, Bobby Gless or Gary Yingst. Any one of these people have more power over our contract than anyone the members can vote for.

A better question would be why do you amfadites keep selecting Delle? DUH?

Maybe because they feel he is the best man for the job. Maybe because they feel that he put so much effort into AMFA over the years they want him to enjoy its rise. Either way, its the MEMBERS that vote in Delle.

BTW, Where's Delle? He has been pretty quiet lately....

I dont know, but then again he is not the head of the union we are in, by the way where is Little? Is he over there ripping into Local 556? I know where he will be on the 16th.

The Supreme Court members are chosen by the President who is elected by the ENTIRE country. People trust their choice for President to make good Supreme Court Justice nominations. Now, is jim little trusted enough by the ENTIRE twu atd membership to appoint others? When the "leader" of the twu atd is elected by the FULL membership then open your pie hole.

Why is Delle ELECTED by the full AMFA membership? Because he has done more to promote, defend and protect our proud profession than the entire twu elite could ever dream of doing. If Delle is as bad as the inept, alias using twu supporting cowards think he is then why does the democratic process work at AMFA?

Where's Delle? Busy doing his job. He has EIGHT airlines to protect. Unlike the iam "leadership" and the twu "leadership".

Interesting that Delle is elected time and time again, even after his obvious bout of dimensia....Delle, the only man in office longer than Fidel Castro...easy to win when your name is the only one on the ballet..must have quite a few inept officers with AMFA, afraid to run for office. And another plus with AMFA is the ability to allow associate members to vote for officers that do not govern their workforce...I'd love to see you guys elect someone for whom will never serve you...makes sense to me...HAHAHA!!!

When is the last time he faced a membership vote?

What is your arguement here? Are you in favor of term limits or democracy? If the members of AMFA vote him in what is your problem?

Since UAL is under concessions do the UAL Techs get to pay the $25 a month dues that are provided for in the AMFA Constitution? Maybe that's why AMFA is back billing everyone and saying that they owe dues from years ago. I got a letter and I am wondering how I'm supposed to prove that I don't owe any money? If I don't pay then I can't even vote on my reps or my contract. That's ludicrous. AMFA you must prove that I owe it. I have records of previous votes so if you think I was ineligible then you must re-run all those old elections. God, I've never seen a Union screw over it's own members like AMFA does. They throw away their own good American jobs like trash, ruin lives and uproot families all in the name of Delle. I've been Union my entire working career and this AMFA is NO UNION.
