HP folks, it isn't the U employee attitudes that need to change. They kept the airline going from Wolf to Lakefield.
What they have wanted is a leader who would take advantage of U's strengths and operated the airline.
The U BOD made a decision years ago they were going to bust up labor.
They now have what they want.
I doubt the merger is going to change that.
You will recall the dismay expressed on this board with the retention of many U execs.
Now you understand why.
It is a shame, because I think U and HP could have created a viable product with moderate labor concessions versus the draconian cuts in place and on the planning board.
