Early PIT transfer numbers

The reality of life is that people are only concerened with what affects them. The people who are going to be displaced or go back on reserve because of these people coming in care about one thing, themselves and are pissed. So don't expect the them to be all warm and fuzzy to these people. That is reality. Not everyone chugs the Kool Aide like you etops.

listen lady!! i am getting bumped my self ok!! . i know i will be going back on reserve .i have 2 little boys at home i have to support .i also commute so i know it will be hell. but i am not gonna sit here and #### because the pit people are coming to bump me down. i know it's gonna happen. bitching about it is not gonna change that. i am gonna have to live with it and make the best of it!! and about the kool-aid remark, i like cherry.

Etops wasn't "chugging the Kool Aide" with his post. . he simply was stating it's not the fault of those people that are moving .it's management's fault. yes, the people in PHL will be unhappy, but the people getting moved are even unhappier! If those in PHL can't work professionally with those coming in. .they need to GROW UP!

Transfer openings for FEB 08 were just posted. Only bases open are DCA 70* and BOS 5*. No other positions avl in the bid.

Yes, I understand the reality is that it's very likely they will NOT be professional adults and be nice to co-workers that are being forced to move yet again (as opposed to simply being bumped down in seniority a few slots). I'm not saying they will be ..I'm saying they SHOULD be.

In all fairness, if you were to be displaced out of PHL due to PIT people coming would you be concerned about the next person you could cause to get bumped from the base you pick? My guess would be NO. It stinks but it is the contract. Do I agree with the process? Not entirely no. If I were one at the bottom that got displaced I would choose my next base on where I could go, NOT on where I could go without bumping someone. It's the nature of the beast.

I wish my worries were as simple as losing my block . I am on reserve and face yet again being displaced. Everyone on here can say oh how they welcome everyone, blah blah but deep down they resent these people coming in and eveyone knows it. I was one of the previous diplacments from PIT and nobody seemed to care about us nor did they make any special accomadations like they are doing for these people. Oh by the way let me make my decisions on what is good for me and my kids.

PLEASE tell me what special accomadations im getting....I did not get the list!!!!

Our whole displacement policy is so stupid. If you are displaced, you should just have to go to whereever there are openings. Period. If you want to be based in a certain base, then you'll have to wait until it opens just like the rest of us. I will probably be displaced due to all the PIT people coming to PHL and I doubt seriously that I will be getting any special accomodations like the PIT people are getting. BTW, anybody know of any good crash pads in DCA? I'm just wondering since I will probably be displaced there pretty soon. I don't have any hard feelings against the PIT people, I just think the whole thing blows.

We'll one day, all you Easties will get your shot at the PHX base. Hopefully there will be an early out offered in the next joing contract, so there aren't some many reserves out East. I can't imagine having 20 year rsv's in PHX. That is complete non sense. We aleady have over 500 rsv's right now??! Out of control. Sitting around and going no where. :huh:

It’s not like we have a bunch of 20-somethings living on futons at Colodny West Apartments in Moon Township that think it would be kewl to try living in PHX.
