It seems the station manager for Express in CLT has been terminated. Anyone know why?

Probably because he has been ineffective his whole time in position. His employees from the shift managers on down, pretty much do whatever they feel like. There has been no authority from the top to give people a direction to work in.

That's the whole Tempe persona......Cheap cheap cheap labor, shouldn't be a career job......yea, yea , yea....

Seems their just carrying on the tradition

Take it for what it's worth but heard through the grapevine that express accounts for about 85% of the miss-connx bags coming to mainline gates. Just about every day on my gate bags wind up in the set-up cart that are from express for flights that have already left or wrong destination or wrong gate. Either they are short staffed or they just don't care or don't look at what is going on. One more observation it seem it always the same runners showing up just before pushback with bags. They need help. <_<

Again, the fruits of the cheap labor/don't want you to make a career out of your airline ramp job rears its ugly head...

This is a management slogan and practiced daily by Parker and Co.

They just don't care if that customer paid $15--$50 whether their bag makes it or not.....

I guess our "We Love Bags" AKA Southwest commercial is out of the question

Bags, you mean the Super senior FA's that just won't quit/retire, right?

No career jobs at this airline? Not sure what you mean.

You think Southwest pays their new hires much more? It's not just about cheap labor..everyone has to start somewhere. The work ethic today is pretty much non-existent.

And I'll agree, a sense of direction and motivation from management goes a long way.

Misinformation ...so to educate you.. it is mainline runners responsibility to get bags for mainline flights from express ..so if bags are missing connection from express to mainline it is the mainline runner fault....if express is bringing bags to mainline is because no mainline runners came for the bags and they are doing mainline a favor.....

Madders, not sure where you got your information, but you're misinformed. As a lead in CLT I know the difference between express runners and mainline runners. Express runs bags to mainline and mainline runs bags to express. That's the way it is. You might want to check with your source.

I am a mainline runner, I only run mainline flights, I do deliver bags to express, I do not pick up there bags and take them to mainline, I only deliver to express and other mainline flights...
