I'm not looking for help and I'm not interested in what anyone thinks.

I do what I do here because I want to do it.

again, I'm not interested in pleasing anyone or earning anyone's favor thru by my participation here.

if you were willing to invest even half as much effort in trying to fix the labor movement in the US as you are trying to fix other people, you might actually contribute something worthwhile.

You can argue all you want about what labor unions have provided including stability but the evidence is overwhelming that DL has done as good of or better job of preserving jobs and providing as good of a quality of life as any airline has provided in the airline industry.

if you disagree, then provide strong enough examples of success that no DL employee should have any doubt of the value of a union.

given that there are more than 60,000 non-union DL employees and DL has one of the lowest rates of unionization among GLOBAL airlines, you and your peers have completely failed for 85 years to convince DL people - and there is nothing new to show them today that you haven't shown them years ago - with no success in getting them to join unions.

I guess the proof will come when the FA'S get their vote? If they vote yes no matter what comes out of that it will have been THEIR choice. They will get that CHOICE whether you like that or not.

and I have always said that DL employees in each work area are free to choose.

my objection has long been the number of non-DL people who have made it their business to try to push a union agenda on DL employees and for DL employees who don't work in a specific area to be advocating for unions in areas other than their own.

if you were half as interested in seeing me post a whole lot less on here, a good start would be for you to put a speedy lid on all of the union proselytization that goes on here.

since the 2nd coming is more likely than you and 700 and Kev finding something else to do with your time, I suppose I will be around here well into the future - or at least until the 2nd coming. you could pray that will happen.

Oh I'm quite sure you will be lying in a hospice one day with an IV drip in your arm and an oxygen mask over your face still reaching for a means to write something on these Forums pages.

I have a feeling it's all you'll have left in your life and they will mark your participation here on your gravestone.

I'll be off hitting golf balls personally.

of course you will be....

you could have been doing it all day long but somehow managed to keep up here.... no caddy?

ps... I guess you still can't find time to fix the problems w/ the labor movement? so it is easier to trash someone who just points out the reality of it all to you...

Jesus Christ.

Somebody please let me know when this one's back on topic...
Kev nothing personal but what topic? All this thread ever is a repeated back and forth between just a small handful of us with rarely ever more than 5 readers. The action for this topic is absolutely not here. It's off on FB between those two pages that are currently extremely popular. It's also out in the real world where the FA's (and hopefully soon the ramp) will be voting soon on whether they want a Union or not.

Actually the moderator should call this thread a day? Since you're a Delta employee though that should be your call?

Several FB pages, actually...

And you're right that the actual discussions between actual employees are taking place in ready rooms & crew lounges system-wide.

Nevertheless...

killing a thread that touts "grassroots" a labor movement at DL?

never.

more specifically, it will never have happen to put an end to a bunch of non-DL and never been DL people should be free to go on for months and months telling the world what is wrong with DL and why DL people need a union

and THAT is why I am here and continue to participate to the great consternation of the 5 or 6 on here outside of DL and even DL employees who are not in any of the areas where there is close to a reasonable chance of every unionizing

nevertheless nothing.

that is where the conversations belong.

So, has anyone heard of a vote announcement?  Or is the NMB still verifying the cards?  12,000 cards out of 20,000 is 60%, a nice cushion that unions like to get to wither thru the validation proccess, as well as any added names to the list the co might throw in like we have seen in other drives.  I would expect a ruling to go forward for a union vote, but I have seen crazier things happen at other airlines like AA and all the added people to the list that were dead, retired, and even part of management to pad the list. Good luck to you guys in your efforts to get unionized.  Hope you can get it done this time around.

Nothing announced yet. The planned timeline is for everything to be wrapped up by the beginning of April...

So we all should shut up and let you do your thing, no matter how wrong it is. Seems fair to me too Leo 🙄  🙄  🙄
