Be curious to know how many of those FA's left voluntarily vs. were on layoff and simply applied to anyone who was hiring.
I mean I know at least 15-20 guys who left Delta for other airlines. FL and WN during BK were a hot spot for exDelta people to go.

but Delta never twists things like that. So it must be a fantasy in my mind because only the big bad union twists things right baba and WT?

I personally know many from Delta who turned down recalls, left for other industries while working for delta, and others who just turned them down when offered a job. It is simply not the career it used to be. It is a job.

Other companies decide to treat their employees like Delta used to back in the 70's and early 80's. Delta has lost its edge in that sense. They will never gain it back, no matter how nostalgic some are about the delta family.

Those of us who have left know what the grass looks like over here. It can be very green, and the spring has sprung.

um if you READ the flyer it is about Delta FLIGHT ATTENDANTS
Also, we have many new hires from Jet Blue.  I highly doubt they are laying off over there.

And I know many, who left DL during the riffs and paycuts, thinking the grass was greener on the other side of the runway, only to return, minus their seniority.
No one says working at DL is the right decision for everyone, which is the great thing about it, no one is forcing them to stay and they can "ALWAYS" look for greener pastures, elsewhere.

I would argue that, while it is true that DL is not the company it was before Mo Ron got ahold of it, there are very few companies that have moved to the type of environment that DL had pre-deregulation which was marked by immense and intense loyalty to the company by its employees and vice versa.

I'd like to hear what companies outside of a relatively few IT related companies you think are doing as good or better job that DL did in pre-deregulation days.

People leave companies all the time for all kinds of reasons. On balance, there are far, far more DL employees that have come from other airlines than the other way around - and it is not just because DL outlasted many of the others.

I know people that have left for several different carriers.

And really; why would we "hear much" from people who have left? They're not here anymore.
I'm sure most of us here would rather not hear anything from a few of those who've left Delta... <cough>

and some of us don't want to hear people who have never worked at DL trying to tell us what makes DL great or not, past, present, or future.

Or trying to push their union beliefs on people he doesn't have any association with from a union he doesn’t represent.
Think it's called "No skin in the game" for a reason!

how about posting the comparison charts for the rest of the industry and INCLUDE PROFIT SHARING where it is paid?

you won't because the data doesn't support the IAM's story any longer.

what happens when the airline does NOT make a Profit?  Would that airline still give out PS????   give me the higher wages to compensate the loss of PS bec it would be guaranteed compared to the PS    even if the company loses money the higher wages are still coming in..

Lol okay so no FA has ever left Delta for other carriers.......

**** I know one of them who is at Southwest now too. So I am confused. Again, am I in a fantasy land or are you doing the same exact thing you complain the IAM does?

I question myself sometimes. Exactly where in that poster did it say that no person in any job had never moved to other airline from DL? "Not so much" doesn't say that. Once some one is on a seniority list at a major airline it is rare for one to change airlines unless a furlough is involved. Let's be real... The message was to ask around and hear the experiences of people from other outfits to compare DL to theirs . Same message that the iam is sending.
