So again, no you don't believe in democracy, you believe in doing whatever the best thing for Delta is....
...And/or whatever will wind up other board users the most..

Oh and one more time, can you prove how much money the IAM has put into the drive(s) at Delta as well as how much has been donated?
Good question.

We’ve learned that American Airlines passenger service agents voted against union representation.

In a vote that ended Tuesday, 3,052 voted against union representation to 2,902 who voted in favor of union representation, including 2,891 votes for the Communications Workers of America.

During this drive AA had a heavy hand in fighting against the organizing effort. They employed the Union busting firm of Ford Harrison having mandatory Anti- Union meetings, video's, notices on bulletin boards and mailouts to employees homes.

Then during the BK they came to realize that their agents in freight were cut loose with no recourse to remain employed, took concessions with no input, and received only a very very small fraction (given by the company, not the court) of equity for their losses.

American Airlines passenger service agents have voted to be represented by a coalition of the Communications Workers of America and International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

The CWA said that of the 11,187 voting, 86.2 percent of the airport and reservations employees had voted for the CWA-Teamsters coalition: 9,640 for, 1,547 against.

For this decision (VOTE) The new AA management team CHOSE to stay out of the decision of it's employees and let it rest in their hands. They even took down anti- Union propaganda left up from the last campaign after they informed Doug Parker "If he really wants an HONEST contest, he'll get it down" (It all came down the next day.)

After the vote was shown to be in favor of organizing, the CWA not only thanked the new members but AA management as well for allowing an organic decision to happen.

Delta Airlines is certainly NOT AA though as we all know.

Atlanta-based Delta Flight Attendant Spencer Hayes today electrified the more than 600 delegates at the IAM's bi-annual Transportation Conference.
Hayes, a 17-year Flight Attendant, updated the delegates on the great progress that has been made since Delta Flight Attendants began collecting election authorization cards less than 12 weeks ago.
"I urge all Delta Flight Attendants to sign their a-cards today, so we will be here as delegates at the IAM's next Transportation Conference," said Hayes. "We will have our vote and one day we will have our own contract at Delta Air Lines."
"We stand with the Delta Flight Attendants," said IAM General Vice President Sito Pantoja. "Together with the Delta Flight Attendants, we will ultimately win."
Delegates rose to their feet in support of the largest organizing campaign in the world and International Transport Federation (ITF) General Secretary Steven Cotton vowed continuing the support of 4.5 million ITF members.

you know WeAA  DL mgmt. could learn from AA mgmt. about allowing a real campaign  just like the way the CWA  did when they were elected following the AA merger with US   🙄 B)

uh, there are about 20K DL FAs so no matter how electrifying any DL employee is, they need to have half of their coworkers - 1/8th of DL's entire workforce thinking like them.

That is pretty darn hard to do in any organization.

DL has allowed multiple votes to take place; they can't stop them anyway. The labor movement just wants to play the abuse card when the results don't turn out the way they want.

DL employees don't want further unions... that isn't a hard concept to grasp.

Kevin,
you are one of the labor movement's smartest voices. I would hardly expect you would have a hard time finding anything related to the labor movement if you want to.

Let me produce some basis information that you should be able to use to get to the answers.

FORM LM-2 LABOR ORGANIZATION ANNUAL REPORT FILE NUMBER 002-485 PERIOD COVERED From 01/01/2014 Through 12/31/2014

The fish are jumping out of the ocean into your lap.

We can all have one opinion and WT can have another but until the Dept. of Justice comes out with their findings and recommendations to the NMB this conversation will continue to be nothing more than a never ending merry go round.

I have a feeling which way the ruling will go and personally don't think WT will be very happy with it? JMO.

But I'm also sure he'll ride on full bore in making up a twist to those eventual findings.

If there were really some smoking gun, the DOJ wouldn't be spending months to try and investigate it.

I doubt seriously that there will be any ruling that will shake anyone's foundation....

but why should we expect that you will accept that there is no more to the DOJ findings than there is to Kip's decision to take the money and run.

The IAM pulled its application because there wasn't any support.

I don't really care what happens as long as the democratic process is protected - and that has repeatedly shown that there is no interest by DL employees in further unionization.

It ain't personal.

It's simply democracy.

and as soon as the IAM can get past the tens of thousands of former PMNW IAM members that are part of an airline where its employees don't see a benefit for a union, the faster the labor movement can figure out why Americans little to no use for the labor movement any more.

but when all else fails as we have seen over and over again, blame everyone else and call them names rather than admit that the labor movement has no appeal for DL workers or the vast majority of Americans.

If they pulled their application because there was no support than why would they start a new drive immediately with cards numbered to ensure their authenticity?

When you make your now standard scripted comments at the very least you may want to try to interject a modicum of common sense.

If there was no support they would not have even begun a new, improved card drive.

Reality.

Keep up the lies red herring boy.

Rehash the NMB notified the IAM about irregularities with cards, something the board
has NEVER DONE BEFORE, they would just say not enough cards and bar an election for two years and the board has NEVER asked the DOJ the to investigate a card drive.

And who had the most to gain with alleged fraudulent cards.

Keep up the lies and red herrings what you think or post doesn't matter.

Oh and yes. The Government does take months to carry out investigations. Actually many times investigations could even take years.

I thought you were smarter than that silly comment.

The group who stood to gain millions in dues $$$.

Its not that hard to figure out.

Wrong once again, signing a card only calls for an election.

Try again

The fraudulent cards were submitted by Flight Attendants. I actually don't believe that either Delta or the IAM were responsible? Either way ALL sides concerned should be happy that the IAM is now conducting that drive with fraudulent proof cards.

I'm sure that you would like a "fair" contest to know once and for all what the "majority" of those you work with "truly" want?

Duh, really Einstein?

You figure that out for yourself or did you phone a friend?
