But again 141 is near the members. 143 was near the members. A lot of negotiations and other high level matters are handled at the district level. If you are hoping to organize DL employees where will their district be located?

Seems like as good of time as any, no? South still gets to pick, but my choice of charity would be Wrenched Hearts.

And there also isn't a large concentration of 142 members in the New York area. Both made sense when the bulk of the district membership was TWA which had many employees at those locations. So the district is in accessible to the members they are there to serve and MCI isn't an easy place to travel to/from.

Josh
Most business is done at the local lodge level. That aside, do they not have phones/email/text messaging/Skype in the "private wealth mgmt." world? Not hard to get ahold of people if needed.

And lemme guess; if they moved from a low(er) cost area like MCI, you'd be pissing & moaning about how they're making the members shoulder the cost.

The members don't go to the district office the district is ran out of there. I have been there many times, have you? The finances are other things are done out of there. No need for it to be anywhere else but you wouldn't understand that and all you care to do is stir the pot. It doesn't matter where it is and especially for you since you have nothing to do with 142.
Exactly.

HVR.

Negotiations don't take place at the district offices they take place usually at the company headquarters as that is where the resources are. But once again it doesn't effect you and you are only trying to slam the IAM once again.

How is it accessible to the AS, US and WN employees who largely make up the district? Did Aldofini and O'Driscoll work at MCI and that's why it was located there?

Josh

Are you that dense?

There is nothing for the member to do at the district office.

Go stir your crap somewhere else.

And do you get a woody when you name drop when it has nothing to do with the topic?

Not name dropping just seems all the appointed IAM officials from TWA were based at JFK. Who will represent the DL employees? Usually don't the "activists" from the campaigns get appointed and ultimately remain in place for years?

And you won't know when I will be there.

More lies again south wind. I have been working 70 plus hours a week for my business. Worked for Dale Jr. last night we raised $350,000 last night for his charity foundation.

Once again I don't work for nor get by the IAM but hey keep up your lies and pay off your bet you welcher.

Are Dale Jr's mechanics unionized? If not, maybe you need to go to his forum!

Negotiations? Hell, we'd just like to know when the vote takes place.

Lol. Good one.
Are you involved with EIG? Do you know your EIG representative(s)? I know you write the EIG off but if you don't bother getting involved how can you expect change?

Josh

I don't have an EIG rep; I'm not an F/A.

You really don't know how things are set up at DL, do you?

But tell us more about the EIG; how do they handle advocating for economic items, such as pay, benefits, and work rules?

How are their votes tallied?

Where are the results posted?
