That's nice so anyone who isn't in a union you don't care about. The vendor employees families will be disrupted but hey you don't care. Many of the vendor employees work harder than you thanks to your work rules but as you said before you are too good to work under those terms.

Josh
Oh goodness I didn't think about it that way. Perhaps I should give my job to one of those vendors so he can support his family? What the heck I can always find a new job at Walmart or something? (Extreme sarcasm intended)

Here in MIA we recently hired about 200 people to work for AA ramp. Many of those "people" came from Eulen America and I have welcomed them to our fold with open arms. They have been talking to their friends stuck in that hell company (Seeds planting)

As for the vendor companies I'll state this once again, "They can rot in hell" I relish every one of them that goes out of business, hope there owners have to declare bankruptcy and end up having to go to a food bank to get a cheese wheel.

Vendors change all the time but rest assured the cumulative amount of work they do continues to increase.  And its a global trend as well-companies like Menzies (Scotland)and Dnata (Dubai affiliate of Emirates) continue to grow and pick up work at airports around the world.  Guess you just don't like knowing there are people willing to work harder than you for less money.  Much like the autoworkers throughout the midwest have been priced out and their plants shuttered and moved to Mexico, the same is happening with fleet service.  Yes a few are still around in Michigan but its nothing like in the late 1990s/early 2000s much like more of your work is being done by vendors.

Eulen America or parent Grupo Eulen are in no risk of shutting down. They have operations all around the world in many different industries and practically run Barajas Airport in Madrid.

I don't need to work, I have other income and support from my family I work because I enjoy what I do.  If the firm wants me gone, I will leave.  I work for them, they dictate the terms of my employment and are free to terminate it at anytime for any reason.  Some here disagree with this mindset though.

this

haven't you noticed that there is a whole lot of blessing going on around here of late, Josh.

ain't that special?

Vendors are a disaster its a nowonder those rich arse donkeys love having them bec they dont have to provide any benes but just pay minimal wages. You get what u pay for.

Robbed in some cases the unions have priced themselves out of the job like at AS and UA, there was specific language in the contract that they had to be competitive in costs.

Great. Of note, the highlight sheet on the DL 142 website has no mention of scope/job security.

Josh

Why is DL 142 still in Kansas City? There are hardly any members there it makes no sense. Maybe it did in the TWA days but not anymore. At least 141 is in Elk Grove, IL near where many UA members work. Travel to/from MCI must not be easy for district business.

Josh

Maybe you should get thee over to the WN board & ask 'em...

Or just keep throwing things out to try and distract from the discussion. You know; either or...
