I'm not familiar with the EIG. One of the JFK F/As I know that works the TLV flight as a speaker lives in MIA is/was a rep and I talked to her for a bit about it.

Many companies have these groups and employers consider their feedback but they do not and should not dictate how the business is run.

Dunno know about the election/nomination process. Wouldn't surprise me if the reps are hand picked rather than elected.
