Wrong once again, the IAM entered into a voluntary compliance agreement, you do know what voluntary means?
As a result of Tim's efforts they did. Had he not brought this forward that wouldn't have happened.

"Have."

You've noted that one of DL's greatest collective assets is not looking in the rearview mirror. Have you changed your mind?
not being fixated with the past also doesn't mean forgetting what has been learned from it either.

I don't want DL people to ever forget BK or being at the bottom of the DOT on-time list or many other failures.

pretending those things didn't happen or worse yet forgetting them is the worst thing that anyone could do.

equally, failing to remember the rich history that DL and each of its merger partners, and where possible, each of its employees brought to the table is highly important.

I don't want to forget where I came from, what I learned along the way, and what makes me strong (and weak) because of those experiences.

I truly hope you see life that way as well, Kev.

Transparency... Accountability... All the usuals...

You're not seriously gonna argue against that, are you?

Transparency? OK, how many cards, hoping for a vote, have been turned in?

Riding the Sound Transit light rail back to SEA and saw a guy at the Tukwila International Boulevard station (just before Sea-Tac) wearing a Fighting Machinists shirt who looked like Mark Blondin. I know Blondin worked in Renton for Boeing. Didn't ask if it was him but if it was I've now encountered two IAM GVPs. Surprised executive council members ride public transportation.

Considering 10 peeps attended for a free steak dinner last night I can't imagine they are anywhere close. Again if they had the required cards they wouldn't be holding these events and giving away free sh*t left and right.

More than 1, less than 12,000...

While we're waiting, maybe you can help; where on DLnet can someone see the EIG vote results?

Why do you keep asking questions you know the answer to?

I'm hoping to be corrected. Maybe you can tell us where to find them, or do you only have access to Jetnet?
Don't have access don't know about the systems.

the amount of seasonal pulldowns has nothing to do with being overstaffed or not.
WTF.

WorldTraveler said:
AA is overstaffed as a result of a merger which is allowing them to offer leaves of absences to FAs.

"AA is overstaffed because they have yet to realize they cannot fly the same amount of capacity on a year round basis and haven't figured out how to staff accordingly."

So now its because of the merger? pick a friggin target.

WorldTraveler said:
they are offering these LOAs (whether they call them that or not) because they are pulling down the schedules.
what are you talking about? who said anything about LOAs? All AA did was drop minimum flying time. Thats not a LOA.

WorldTraveler said:
DL does the same thing every year and thus is prepared to reduce its staffing - so no DL is NOT overstaffed.
wait what?
Doing every year doesn't have anything to with it. Delta is always over staffed in the winter. The management team will even tell you that.
you have to be overstaffed, understaffed or do yearly lay offs if you have peaks and valleys in flying like DL does.

the discussion is about AA FAs who did just sign a JCBA
Are you telling me I'm OT in a thread about DL ACS and FAs? Just who the heck are you?

No. Republican congressional leaders have by not (Unsurprisingly) supporting the agenda to strengthen Unions in the US.

We don't have a dictatorship here in the US.
huh? What exactly has Obummer proposed that would help labor unions?

and he had congress for 2 years, why was nothing (beside the POS that is Obama care that was stuff down our throats) done?

blaming the republicans are one of the reasons your party is worthless. All the wanna do is point fingers, when i comes time to get something down they are busy all having a circle jerk while yelling "blame Bush"

You got to vote but it was largely symbolic. The company would have gotten what they wanted through abrogation. It just may seem more palatable to you knowing your peers voted on it. I know your NWA CBA is very dear to you and still have copies but the IAM got taken to the cleaners.

Josh
Well I don't know what they got, but I do know that the BK contract for NWA below wing would mean ~ triple the mainline stations Delta has now......... (and was also 40ish NW stations at the time of the merger compared to the LARGER Delta having less than 20)

you don't have DL profit sharing which is 15% above pay rates for this year.

if you were as confident in what AA has, you wouldn't be telling people to ignore me.

You do that because you are afraid that people will find out the truth which is that AA's contract is not industry contract.
So you have done a work rules comparison between AA and DL....?
Can you post it so we can all see it please?

That's what the restaurant manager and staff told me. I just called and that's what I was told.

Josh
you really should get a life. Not trying to be mean but you clearly have way to much free time on your hands.

perhaps you can start by rewriting the sentence above in English which a literate English speaker could understand.

I know you are trying hard to nail Josh to the wall but plz don't let go of what you usually do quite well - communicate effectively.
I know your not talking glass house.

he can convert it to Chinese and your reading and comprehension skills would probably be about the same as they are for English.

of course it's not an LOA.

what would you call a scheduling option when you receive benefits but you don't have to work the equivalent of six months?

duck, quack.
