given the shortening days, that is an admirable hobby.

So far as I can tell, you do your job very well, Kev.

it is a liability to believe that you or anyone else can come in to DL, tell them that their system which has worked for decades doesn't work, and instead try to impose your system which DL employees have said they want no part of.

let go of the past, Kevin and live in the reality that you are in a world where your peers have repeatedly affirmed that they don't want the world of the past which you cling to.

and they do that, because like you, they are far better off financially now than they were at the time of the merger - on both sides. You simply choose to include intangibles which others do not value like you.

700,

You sure you don't want to use your financial quotations about DL's performance vs. AA?

By your basis, DL did far better than AA.

and in your little IAM propaganda piece, you forget to mention that over $300 million of DL's profits went to its employees in profit sharing vs. NO MEANINGFUL AMOUNT for AA employees.

Kev is not livin in the past  he is simply describing what is going on at DL currently   you are not there  he is

DL hired you to do what you do better than anyone else.

They hire companies that provide employer support services such as for HR to do what they do best.

there is no fear of you having to start processing insurance claims for DL.

they won't be working your ramp either.

FWIW a ton of admin jobs that are done by vendors are done by........wait for it............wait for it..........DGS.

Who also has people working below/above wing. So technically the company at least, has its people on Delta ramps too.

Why are DL pensions so underfunded ????
who cares? as long as they make payments to people on time I think the focus on under funded pensions are stupid.

If you're going to use that logic, then where's the outrage against:

ESIS?
Sedgwick?
PeopleScout?
Ingenix?
Financial Engines (who miraculously has access to all our financial info, btw)?
The ESC?

Those are literally 3rd parties, are not employee driven, and cost us all- yet not a word.

What gives?
because kev...they aren't unions.

thats the point. A long as it isn't a union its A-okay.

Welcome to the south, where mis-information about unions are fact and the real truth means nothing.

and the FAs have the "me too" with ALPA. Much easier b**ch about unions when you basically have one for free.
(unless Richard dusts on the plan to outsource international FAs again like he wanted to do at NW. Don't think DALPA will be there to protect the FAs in that case)

Who said there was outrage against the IAM?

that's false advertising.

a union contract HAS NOT protected work at other airlines.

Yes it has, the companies used chapter 11 and still had to negotiate they couldnt make unilateral changes unlike DL.

the CBAs didn't protect jobs anywhere near as well as DL did.

and you can't say that a CBA that doesn't exist can provide protections which haven't even been negotiated.

BS.

PMNW did better than PMDL and what about 7.5?

no, PMNW did not do better than DL.

PMNW cut 39% of its workforce compared to 35% between 2001 and June 2008. Since both carriers entered BK on the same day, there couldn't be a better case study as to who fared better.

further, NW cut a higher percentage of higher paid workers thanks to AMFA's stupid strategic choices.

if you want to go back to the 90s when 7.5 took place, we can look at headcount reductions at AA, UA, and US which were far larger than what DL with 7.5.

Tell us more about the total # of jobs cut.
