Grassroots Efforts at DL for ACS and FAs, no personal attacks.

Dividing employees between classifications, location, etc is great for management as it faces a less unified and cohesive work group. It's all the more brilliant to see unions openly promote and embrace this division like we saw at 141.

since DL is far ahead of its peers in terms of economic issues, what else could you argue needs to be fixed other than gray, unmeasurable issues like QOL that mean very different things to different people?
The basic QOL issues don't generally change from person to person. Most people want more vacation, less outsourcing, lower health care and better retirement.

Small things like work rule changes is where you get the different opinions. Should the hangar have 4 days on 3 days on for weekdays and a 13.3 hour 3 day weekend crew? or 5 days on 2 off (8 hours) and 12 hour (plus the makeup day) weekend crew?

no, Kev, it is a statement of fact that DL employees ARE NOT going to succeed in arguing that they are undercompensated relative to their peers.
Two things, yes Delta employees make less than some of their peers. Of course you and management don't count them because it would be counterproductive to the constant preaching of sunshine and unicorn tears yall say employees get.

second for the most part no one is complaining about pay. Thats the part you cant grasp. Its not JUST about pay.

and before you even say it, just because your unhappy with things doesn't mean you want a union. You can't grasp the world isn't black and white. (of course when your on the outside and only looking at little bits of questionable data it seems black and white)

sure, you can argue about QOL or non-economic issues but those mean very different things for different people.
Read above. Generally the same basic ideas are the same. Delta does its employee survey and we constantly get told the top 5 things are (in no order) Scope, pay, health care, retirement, time off.

It gets fuzzy after that, but those are 5 things everyone worries/talks about.

and the endless "he's gone and can't relate" mindset belies the obvious reality that DL employees are not seeking unions as a solution in the numbers necessary to gain them. it's a democratic process which means the majority of your peers have to agree with you.
You are gone, you can't relate.

however I don't believe you, as someone who was mostly in the GO...who I assume was merit, can understand the life of a frontline employee nearly as well as you think you do.

which means I am a whole lot more in touch with reality than you think.
no your not. Thats not a dig, but anyone who reads your post can tell you are clearly on the outside looking in a very foggy window.

yes, robbed. DL employees do have scope.
We do? What is it? where is it?

WorldTraveler said:
It isn't in writing.......
uh. You know what scope is or nah?

then why haven't they succeeded making you move to ATL?
Make him move to ATL? Boy you really think highly of Delta eh?

and who said ATL has any open spots right now? If he got a spot here it would be a RR as it is. I can not remember the last time i have seen a full time spot open on the ramp.....

Really? What have I done to divide people?

Josh
maybe saying you have a different job every day of the week trying to push your agenda is what Kev is talking about?

just tossing some ideas out there.

DL is sending letters to same sex domestic partners, that if they reside in a state that recognizes same sex marriages that if they dont get married by a certain date, their domestic partner will be removed from their health insurance.

Have any of your activists told GLAAD or Campaign for Human Rights? IMO that's beyond outrageous on the part of DL

which is exactly the same thing that would be the case with a heterosexual partner.

you can't get health care coverage for an opposite sex partner that is not a spouse.

it ain't just DL that has such rules as much as you want to try to make it sound like it.

Havent heard that US/AA/WN/UA or any other airline forcing same sex couples to get married.

Of course let's wait and see what your response is when the LM-2s are filed next spring.

Josh

Would you care to place a nice wager that as of right now you wont see my name?

And still waiting for you to come clean and tell the board your real agenda and job, this is only like the sixth time I am asking.

Will the "real josh" please stand up:

And glad to see you keep making it about me than the topic, are you obsessed with me?

they don't have to get married... but if they want health insurance benefits, they have to be married.

It's no different from how DL treats its heterosexual employees.

I can assure you that DL would face a far greater pushback from its heterosexual employees who cannot get health insurance from a companion than they would from homosexual employees.
