Grassroots Efforts at DL for ACS and FAs, no personal attacks.

There have been some incorrect assumptions made about what happened with pmDL people getting raises while pmNW didn't.

At the time, the pmNW folks were covered by a CBA, and giving them a raise would have contaminated lab conditions, violated the CBA's scope, or both.

I believe they can give as long as it is to all. I do not believe they can take however.

Yeah, not so sure there. It's entirely possible DL could still be accused of interference and violating the status quo on something as benign as the prescription drug changes.

If it's challenged and DL can show it was under consideration before the card drive started, or it was something initiated by UHC, they might have a leg to stand on.

Then again, DL's no stranger to being accused of interfering with elections, so maybe they've been emboldened by their past antics actions.

Did you ask the same question of our employer regarding medical premiums prior to open enrollment?

How 'bout what percent of income our PS payout will be this year?
yes, DL published the cost of premiums before open enrollment. DL also provided the dtails of coverage for each plan.

There are NO details about what the union can provide.

A CBA is a NEGOTIATED agreement and there is ABSOLUTELY no assurance that DL will choose to continue to provide the same thing.

for all of these years you have harped about DL having the freedom to do whatever it wants and now when it is possible that DL might just do that after a union vote, you want to act like it has all been set in stone.

The DL FAs will start from ground zero in negotiating an agreement.

There is NO assurance that they will get anything they have.

I remember Roach saying that there was nothing in the IAM CBAs forbidding DL to increase compensation but he doesn't understand that NWA negotiated those agreements as a comprehensive package and they can't cherry pick items or articles. I believe the AFA filed a grievance and also pursued the NMB for interference and the board found no wrongdoing on the part of DL. As I've said before DL has professional advisors and counsel on their side, they aren't dumb and will it do anything against the law. It was a great way to burn through more of AFA (ultimately CWAs) dwindling resources.

Hey Meto,

How does DL treat its unionized pilots and DALPA?

And pay rates in a CBA are minimums, DL could have given the same raises to the PMNW unionized folks at anytime.

Why would DL? Roach is dumb if he thinks DL would give the union workers more, the IAM negotiated and their members agreed and ratified the terms. Clearly Roach isn't a skilled negotiatior as an unskilled ramp service man but then again he got training at WWW and Empire State Labor College and a seminar course of labor relations up against the Wharton MBAs and counsel representing the company. The CBAs the IAM has produced speak for themselves.

Roach doesnt negotiate CBAs.

Try again.
Now he doesn't but he was involved as GVP Transportation as were the GLRs that reported to him.

of course DL could have given raises to the PMNW workers as well.

Even they were smart enough to realize that they were being put in a corner without pay raises until they chose not to vote for a union.

whether it happens before or after the FA vote, the end result will be that the FAs will PAY for being a part of a union.... while their peers elsewhere at the company will continue to receive far more bennies.

To believe otherwise is simply naïve.

and given that 700 has everything to gain by getting $12 million in union dues while losing nothing if they choose to stay non-union, no one would expect him to present the real downside.

700 is so classic union by denigrating anyone that is not pro-IAM. The FAs will find out how bad that union mindset is if they choose to be represented by the IAM and unionistas like 700.

I have nothing to gain.

I dont have a dog in this fight, I am a trade unionist.

What do you HAVE to gain since you arent a FA nor a ramper and yet you spew the most the most anti-union venom more than anyone and you have been gone from DL over eight years.

So how much does DL or F&H and any other third party, which you are.

Gee I dont see DL having problems with its unionized dispatchers and Pilots.

At Delta, widely recognized as the most successful U.S. airline, a unionized pilot group has formed a positive relationship with management and has played a key role in the airline’s success. ALPA President Lee Moak was the primary architect of that relationship during his six years as chairman of the Delta pilots’ master executive council.

As a skilled AMT will Sito be more effective than unskilled Roach in negotiations?

Josh

you won't find any federal documents showing that I have ever been paid to fight against unions.

You will find federal records showing that 700 has been paid for serving in union capacities - and gained health compensation for doing so.

DALPA acts unlike the rest of the quarrelsome labor environment that is the norm in the legacy sector of the airline industry.

They are more like WN's unions than those at AA or UA.

DL will allow the IAM and the FAs to determine what path they want to take WRT relations with the company. and when they prove they will work with the company, they'll get the goods. In that order.

Because corporations arent held to the same reporting standards as a Labor Union is, now, come up with the next excuse.
