There is no threat and pointing out that someone sees no value in what they have is absolutely fair

Kev and others came to DL convinced that the contentious PmNW way was better where it took a union to constantly fight for your job

If kev or others want that system and believe that DL doesn't know what the right balance is for his job then why should everyone else have to put up with a union while Kev learns a valuable lesson?

Kev could not have been both right that DL pays its employees a premium and then think a union can do better. Only a candy store mentality would result in a belief that one is better off now and will be in the future

some people's idealism is detached from reality

No Kev is not being threatened.

He and every other DL employee that thinks they can get a better deal without providing anything other than demands and criticisms of how DL operates need to show HOW they can do better with solid proposals and accept that if they think DL is so bad then they need to live with their assessment.

Kev and others want to enjoy the benefits of DL including staying in cities that they say DL doesn't protect while criticizing DL policies which have saved their jobs and made them so well paid

It is tine for Kev and others to realize how good they have it or live with the lack of protection they think they don't have but do

And yet nothing on how you can reshuffle the deck but keep costs the same while improving what you think you don't have but obviously do

Couldn't begin to tell you what other union alternatives there might be, can only say, that from what I know, the IAM's track record is nothing to boast about.

No one ever said Easterns demise was directly placed on the IAM's shoulders, though they were "ONE" of the "MAJOR" contributing players!
Not really.
There were enough scabs on the M&R side to keep them flying.
If the pilots and FA's did not strike then EA would probably lasted much longer.
IIRC B) xUT

Personally, I believe each group should have their own union and not all represented by the same union.....that was part of the reason behind Easterns demise!

If ever "Forced" to join a union, there would be only one that would interest me but, then again, I don't believe you should be "Forced" to join a union , if the place of employment is union represented, should be a choice!
which one is that? (I figure it has to be AMFA but i am curious)

Typical, I wasted my time.
The IAM has more members in the airline than any other airlines.

The track record is just fine.

Every union has had its problems, no union was immune to the effects of the economy since deregulation.

Do you realize how many airlines the IAM help save from going out of business?
er... no.
no its really not.

IAM did a fantastic job of gutting UA. I understand the membership voted on the ramp contract but they sucked during BK for the MX guys.
Not only did that happen but the ACS contract should have never been put out for a vote, much less twice.

You couldn't pay me to join the IAM. Sorry 700.

Saying you are going to call ATG on any of us when we post something is threatening

Except I didn't say I was calling anyone. Quite the opposite.

I am saying that people perhaps like you should live without the benefits they think they do not have and yet post here only because they have benefitted from those DL policies

Hard for you and them to argue they don't have job security or scope while criticizing UA for literally tearing their workforce to shreds with the IAM's blessing

You, LEO what you should do is let everyone have opinions. You preach what Delta is about then f&%king do it.
That **** is what makes you a Leo boy. All you do is talk but if someone gives an opinion you don't like you want to go run to mommy.

And "Since you believe you have no job protections, Kev, I will let ATG know that you too want to be a martyr" Is threatening. Maybe get a better grasp on how the English language works if you can't figure that out.

This kind of crap really pisses me off.
and before you even say it, if you would stop acting like Leo I will quit calling you that. Tell then, you are Leo Mullen.

I never said that I wasn't afraid of letting people have opinions.

I am saying that people should live with the choices they make.

To decry DL's lack of scope while benefitting from it is the height of hypocrisy.

If people believe people has no scope or job protections, then let the chips fall where they fall.

glad it pisses you off.

It pisses me off to see people 6 years after the merger or decades into their DL employment failing to grasp what DL has provided, living behind a keyboard with the benefits of what DL provides, and still complaining that they have nothing.

If DL really has nothing, then there should be absolutely nothing to fear but the reality which they think exists.

the only threat is one's own choice to believe they have no protections.

to match the 6 year old drivel we have listened to from you in your role as the in-house communications chair for the IAM.

i think whats truly funny is seeing a dl cheerleader whose been gone from dl for almost a decade now and he still see dl as the master king who can do no wrong but no other air carrier can do no right    he threatens folks on here  he slams folks for everything yet we have yet to see him admit he is wrong     me thinks its high flying time he gets some serious mental help bec his becoming unhinged has really taken a massive toll on him     the fact that the FAs want a say is more than he can handle   The fact ACS is continuing to deliver cards is a sign that changes could very well becoming to the big widget
