the statistic you have about terminations is perfect.

I would love to know where that came from and see the same for other workgroups.

I would strongly believe it is true for rampers and other workgroups.

It probably also explains the fear that so many PMNW people have about their employer.
 
 
I'd like to know how many people were simply offered a choice to resign instead.

I'd also like to know how many of those cases would've been quickly & easily resolved had the affected employees been represented.

They trotted this same stat out during the last election. Nobody was able to answer either of those...
 
No kidding.

The difference is that if someone was terminated at NW, it was for cause, and very likely after a grievance process.

DL employees don;t have those rights available to them, and instead often find themselves in a room-alone- being offered the choice to either resign or be terminated.

Which would you pick?
 
Room alone?  seriously?  
We have a peer review system.
 
I know there are quite a few who have been through this process 
and they continue to have their job.  I actually know 2.
 
and yet during 7.5, a local mgr in ACS made a decision that I believed was wrong.

I picked up the phone and called a VP in ATL, spent the afternoon waiting for a callback, but when it came the situation was resolved to my liking and against the local mgr's decision.

DL had and still has an open door process for all employees.

it is not a game, it is not a get of jail card that is to be used flippantly, but it does work.

IFS' peer system is very workable.
