Well, there's also something called winning the battle and still losing the war.

Enjoy today, but I really don't see the push for a union going away.

Borderline? Just as I've been hearing....just not there......

The IAM will never succeed at winning an election at DL after this.

meanwhile, workers in two states that are perceived to be labor-friendly are challenging mandatory dues.

apparently the "grassroots" campaign wasn't really at ALL

and the DL folks continue to be AT WILL employees   Hopefully the ACS will get in on the union

Nope! We'll be back here within the next couple of.years, having these same discussions.
There's a lot of wallets, walking.around at DL, and hands wanting.access to them!

And the best part about it....the majority decided that's the way they "WANT IT"!

You are truly just stupid. Delta agreed to every single line in that contract.
Guess, since the IAM got shut out, your "NO PERSONAL ATTACKS" is off the table?

For those who think that another year won't be so bad and the battle will continue.
Just remember we will have over 1500 additional f/a's by next year and those
Flight attendant's will know what a failure and inept the IAM is.
It will be even harder.
This battle has been won and most likely there will not be another for
Years to come.

This will go down as the biggest embarrassment a union has ever put upon the activists. To trust them again would be fool hardy. A huge monumental waste of everyone's money, time and energy.

actually southwind  the  majority did not even get a say....     but the ACS vote should be forthcoming pretty soon

in the mean time  it feels terrific being able to file grievances against mgmt. for mgmt. doing stuff their not suppose to do    it feels wonderful to have representation  to have a say in matters   unlike dl folks who don't have that

Kev  this  post above is not meant to be a slap at you or q or any other pro union folks on here bro   it is and will always be my biggest wish and dream to see you  and the rest of dl go union bro   I am  a very much pro union and I believe that dl folks should have a say in matters   Ive been on both sides of the fence and its a whole lot better for a union than a non union in the airline industry

so to the dl fas  good luck  and wish you the best til the next time

How many elections have the FAs had now?

have the margin of loss for the union ever gotten smaller? Seems like, even in the 90s pre9/11, every time a union has tried they get closer and closer. Not sure why you think that is going to change? (Plenty of reasons for new hires to want a union, plenty of reasons for them not to want also though)

yea they did, robbed.

the majority did express their will. They said they didn't want to vote, the IAM committed fraud, and the vote won't happen.

The NMB now has a case on the IAM at DL and you can be sure that DL will repeat and expand the process of allowing DL employees to validate that they don't want to be a part of a union.

The IAM failed miserably in a last ditch effort to try to get votes.

The representation campaigns at Airbus and Boeing are on full alert.

the IAM is damaged goods and anyone that dares identify with it is as well.

and this is at least the 4th election or attempted election for DL FAs. AT LEAST.

No other union has had to pull their request because the NMB identified literally thousands of invalid cards.

One year isn't going to make a difference.

this thread should be locked but we know that this site, the IAM's communications dept., won't do the right thing.
