Do what you gotta do.WeAAsles said:You'll get no argument here. I do believe our Association was formed more to protect the dues flow than the members. And we should have voted on the Association BEFORE it was sent to the NMB.
With that said I still would chose where we are now over being non union and waiting for the company to give me a generous handout. (All while stating probably a new goal of emulating Delta and maxing up to at least 50% Ready Reserve in our future)
The waiting is frustrating yes, but I have patience.
it'll be whatever was in the failed TA for the pilots.700UW said:Its simply amazing you dont even know the PS formula.
You do know they already reduced it by 33% , lets see how much they chop if they announce the raise.
There is a screenshot of a memo floating around the interwebs that is allegedly a mgmt. "talking points" list of what is to be announced.700UW said:Its simply amazing you dont even know the PS formula.

that is the shoe.Kev3188 said:There is a screenshot of a memo floating around the interwebs that is allegedly a mgmt. "talking points" list of what is to be announced.
Assuming that it's accurate-and I'm not saying it is-the threshold for a 20% payout will move from its current $2.5B to whatever the previous year's net profit was.
Guess we'll find out at noon today...
Still just hoping there's not another shoe waiting to drop; it'd be nice to just celebrate something for once w/o having to think about any sort of give-to-get...
Separately-and perhaps more directly relevant to this topic-in some cities, they are no longer abiding by the 50/50 benefitted:RR ratio for the ramp.
Another unilateral change made with no notice and no recourse...
reduction in PS I think?Kev3188 said:At a quick glance, this looks closer to 5-6%?
I will say that IAM glad that the alleged memo floating around shows all steps on the scale will getting the same increase...
It looks like they're attempting to emulate AA and working to do away with PS all together in the future?Kev3188 said:Sorry, what I meant was that at a quick glance the change in the PS formula takes this raise down quite a ways in real terms.
maybe.Kev3188 said:Sorry, what I meant was that at a quick glance the change in the PS formula takes this raise down quite a ways in real terms.
yeah that is going to be the overall direction. Yet another time AA is leading the pack in labor concessions.WeAAsles said:It looks like they're attempting to emulate AA and working to do away with PS all together in the future?
profit sharing was the trade for our pensions.WeAAsles said:If you're moving close to the realm of $30.00 per hour with shift differential (not forgetting any possible trap doors?) would you really care if they don't want to share profits any longer Kev?
I personally would prefer a great BASE wage (and benefits) and let the big wigs and Wall Street have their profits to do with as they please. I'll leave Vegas in Nevada where it belongs.
just like with the FAs, the moment AA does better Delta will roll out the raises to match and probably go up 2-3%.WeAAsles said:I'm thinking in our house that Parker is going to be backtracking away from that 7% above DL talking point pretty soon? I do expect that he will match the compensation to the Pilots and FA'S even if they have a contract already since he did it the last time?
Others are going to see it differently but now I'm glad that our negotiations for fleet and maintenance were stalled for awhile.
It was the tortoise who won the race, not the hare.
True. But one has to wonder how long this can go on? We all need to just sit back and enjoy the ride as its happening.topDawg said:just like with the FAs, the moment AA does better Delta will roll out the raises to match and probably go up 2-3%.
Two card drives going on, they wont be 2nd place to AA or UA in pay right now, IMO.
