Oh yeah, this little juicy tidbit:

IAM DAL campaign leader stepping down!

Bahahahahahahhaa

You can keep your IAM union garbage.

Im tired of having it constantly shoved down my throat.

Your IAM is a walking PR disaster. If they are trying to win hearts and minds, they've done irreparable harm to their brand.

Until that changes, expect push back.

Who's shoving it down YOUR throat? Do you have a transfer in to be an FA or something?

Should we start a thread that says "IAM at DL Maintenance" ? TWU, AMFA, IBT, CWA?

Who can I call for you?

On a personal note since I am in the union that is organizing I hope they are not using my dues money for the drive
...And there you have it...

Lol. I don't think i have heard from a single person that pay is the issue for voting in a union. Pretty much everyone I have heard from about it they always say work rules or simply wanting a contract with everything the company and employee can/can't do spelled out.
Same here.

We give WT a lot of crap but a lot of yall are acting just like him while he is gone. Went from being so nice around here to the same old s**t. Some want a union, some don't. Maybe we can stop acting like kids about it and have a mature conversation?
We should be so lucky. It's pretty clear, though, that some are on here only to distract/disrupt.

great way to talk about the people that work at your airline with you. Hope you think about that the next time an FA does something nice for you when you are non-reving on a flight. Or the Agent that goes above and beyond to get you home and keep you from being stuck.
My bet is they wont be a bunch of howling monkeys then.........
Nope...

You spend more time on DL's boards, than your own. Pays raises have you in a tizzy by any chance.

Maybe instead of the standard mantra "DL rides the coat tails of unions" you'll instead be thanking DL for raising the bar and if you Union is capable, broker a raise for yourself!

And BTW, I'd personally like to see everyone do well in the industry but, it doesn't mean you need a union to accomplish it!

I know. Unfortunately there are plenty like that in my group as well. They just push it on the guy even further down the ladder somewhere else.

I'll be happy when they come over to my house, yes. But as a single guy the taxes are going to murder me. Going to have to start finding good write downs next year I guess.

Actually first I'll thank the IAM for all the pressure they've been putting on the airline that forced them to make this call. Then I'll thank Delta for making the call. And thirdly Joe passenger for the fares he's going to have to pony up to pay me.

So you really, truly don't believe that over 70 years of heavy Unionization in our industry had anything to do with it? You don't believe many many many years of collective bargaining over those years didn't raise the bar?

Really? Ok, sure.

Note the use of the * next to the word "if"...... There's no way of knowing how profitable we'll be next year or the years after that, although I can say with a much greater degree of certainty that I'll still be making nearly $29 per hour.

Hence, the reason a majority of employees were asked whether they wanted to keep such a large chunk of their income tied to corporate profits that are always a moving target or did we prefer a larger percentage of our salaries guaranteed and paid out every 2 weeks versus once a year in February..... The moral of the story being of course, the company asked for our input, we were given options and ultimately we chose as a collective group to be paid accordingly.... What am I not seeing?

What you're not seeing is that the company wanted the profits back to use for stock buybacks, dividends and shareholder value. The wage increase is better to give to employees then reporting to the Government. Your costs are a tax write off and now everything you make over $48,000 will be marked down as a 25% payout for you to the IRS.

You really shouldn't get the illusion that this was your choice. It wasn't. They gave you what the Pilots refused to accept. Ask yourself WHY did they turn it down? What did they know that you don't?

REALITY.

I'll tell you what the REALITY is..... Delta ACS is unequivocally the highest paid, best compensated in the industry, even before factoring in the 10% profit-sharing. And it was all accomplished without a union contact or paying union dues. If I'm wrong even in the slightest then feel free to correct me.

And not for nothing, but I have I no issues with stock buybacks or paying out dividends. That hasn't stopped Delta from investing in their employees and at the same time rewarding shareholders so it sounds like a win-win to me.

Ready Reserve as well? Seems to me that people like yourself always find them to be inconsequential.

Ah well. Who cares.
