Having met and experienced him in all his glory I believe I can say this.

He sold his soul to the Devil and will be spending his afterlife in the 7th Circle of Hell.
 
just wanted to share my thoughts on any new contract ...

while i would LIKE to see the top out wage increased ... i'm fine with ZERO movment on the wage scale ( well not really fine but , oh well ) the one exception being cost of living increases .. right now we're getting two percent a year , i'd like to see 3 % ( and 3% would BARELY be keeping up with rising inflation )

i want to see JOB security more than anything else !!!!!! our people MUST be protected ...

in the event that our people for some horrible reason can't be protected , i want to see the serveance pacakge raised to 3 thousand dollars instead of the current two ... if our union has to raise dues slightly to do this , then i want it done ....

i'd like to see 3 more holidays added to what we already have ...

i'd like to see a slightly less aggressive sick policy .. i can understand the company wanting to take a hard postion on it , but i think we can come up with more of a middle ground that isn't so harsh on employee's , yet discourages people calling in sick ...

that's it ..

i'm not exaggerating my claims as many people like to do in negiations .. i'm telling the company and our union , EXACTLY what i would like to see , what i think we NEED ..

All of you are aware of my economic opionions , my views haven't changed , that's why i'm asking for the above and nothing more .
 
The BOD removed the profit sharing the language permitted it.
The language permitted it insomuch as the BOD wanted to provide it. Who needs a union that negotiates permissive language as opposed to obliqatory langauge?
Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the BOD was going to decide, "No, I don't think you should have that."

Morons. We had Morons on our team.

Now, the IAM will be the only group left out since mr cornhole negotiated permissive language.

If the company can afford to give other employee groups more vacation, more sick time, more holidays, profit sharing, etc., then they can afford to give it to IAM members and we should expect that.
 
The morons are still hanging around but their influence is imaginary.
I know us rampers expect all of our givebacks back just to get to go. It's time to pass go and collect. We gave and gave in bankruptcy and we expect to get and get with profits. I'm fully confident in our union leadership at this time.
 
This will be my final post. As the O-man is retiring from these Boards.
I just wanted to first say to all of you, that if I ever offended any of you I would like to apologize
It was never my intent to do so. I came on here a few years ago to help EDUCATE our membership
on alot of issues that were going on at the time . I feel that I have accomplished that. But now
its time to move on to other things in life. These boards have turned into nothing more than a
stir the pot session than a place to get any information that is creditable.

As far as the East-West thing. A very wise man told me more than 20 yrs ago that it takes at LEAST
10 years before the employees of both airlines really become one. He should know he went through
the Alleghany-Mohawk merger. I for one witnessed it with the PI- US merger. SO that being said
the East - West thing will live on like it or not.

To my west brothers and sisters Good luck to yeah. Maybe one day you guys will realize that we on the east
aren't a bunch of bad people that are out to suppress just that we went through all this looong before there was
ever a thought of a HP-US merger and we just wanted to educate you on what was going to happen.

To PHX all I can say is I hope that some day you can become one and have a real voice. Hint. It will
take some STRONG LOCAL LEADERSHIP.. (take that for what its worth)

To LAS. Stay strong and continue to built relationships with each other . Hopefully one day LAS will recapture it's size.
To PHL. Keep the Unity strong and continue to fight the fight. and know that you have Support from CLT
To CLT. All I can say is . I am very PROUD TO SAY I'm FROM CLT.. something I couldn't say a few years back. Continue to Grow in solidarity and bring the newer people along. the local Committee is the BEST in the SYSTEM IMHO..

at to 700 .. Get current on the FSA agreement and quit reliving what happened 10 years ago. The HP folks
know nothing of your previous tenure which is just as well.

You & I have known each other a long time. I would like you to reconsider this leaving thing. You are very much needed on this board with your knowledge & wisdom that most of us don't have.(Speaking for myself anyway)

O man you will be missed ... i hope that from time to time you will perhaps pop in again someday ... As to east west drama , i consider all of that long since settled ... your insight and opinons helped to enrich all of us , thank you .


p.s .. just so everyone is clear on my opinions on any new contract , my views are based off of my own unique perspective when it comes to the economy , personally i don't even think our company will be around come the next contract ... so i'm defentily outside of the main stream .

I hope my old bro O-Man rethinks his decision. I came to the conclusion long ago that this site is not about accurate information... nor is it even about Employee and Union concerns. When something like these aviation forums are opened up to the population in general... who knows what kind of information will get posted!

There is absolutely no way to verify the validly of those whom are posting or their motives... that is actually what makes it interesting to me.

It would behoove the IAM to create a site for Fleet Service that would allow only verified members in good standing to post!

As Cream Horn Pastry wryly notes in his accounts from LAS and the subsequent East favoritism to allow transfers into the station when there are people on furlough. The CBA was written by East... for East now, for East tomorrow, and for East forever. There was a reason as to the "IAM SCREWED" bumpstickers, and thus, Cream Horn Pastry has told me he will search for employment with another airline. It is a Potemkim Village of West recall security and the East will eviscerate any protections you thought were negotiated if it serves their purpose. This Three Card Monty of a CBA has been rigged against you, but you just do not know it yet.

So Exposes Jester.

P.S. What's your favorite MRE, as prefer the Cheese Tortellini, but let us hope it last through 2012, right?
