Yes I do. But I also have a Union negotiating currently for me who can compare and argue what is out there for other groups who perform my work and try to secure the same or better. I consider the UAL retirement deal to be better than what I currently have so I'm advocating for it.
You are and you aren't. Delta airlines management decided of their own accord to no longer participate in the plan and suspended that benefit for you. Let me ask you. If Delta had said that they would continue on with it (with the same 401k match you currently have) would you have told them no thank you if you had that ability?
Use this model for thinking about it. If Delta said they would contribute $2.00 per hour to the IAMPF in your name or you can say no and it would just remain with the company (No other alternative) what would be your answer?
Yes Kev I do know that. And as a matter of fact I think you have even more time than me? (1995) But currently and unfortunately I consider you now somewhat on the outside looking in. You have no real ability to advocate against the company for anything because you have no Labor representative doing so for you. But you do post as if you are still a part of a Union?
Your perspective on things is about an organization (And it's Pension plan) that you are no longer a member of and haven't been one for many years now.
When I advocate for something on this page it's as a Union member. Technically now a member of two Unions, since I have two representing me. So when they read this page and they do I want them to hear from me, a dues paying member. (And supporter)
