They extort 500 million out of him, yet the Franke Disciples for years dragged the rest of the industry down with their lack of any benefits, and failed to get anything, ever.

US Airways held about $2 billion of unrestricted cash and

had $1.6 billion available on undrawn credit facilities as of

March 31. The firm's $4.3 billion of total debt and capital

lease obligations includes enhanced equipment trust

certificates and other secured debt of about $4 billion and

miscellaneous unsecured debt including a convertible bond

constituting the rest. The secured debt is collateralized by

aircraft, engines, spare parts, and take-off and landing slots,

among other assets. It includes $1.15 billion outstanding on

a term loan from Citicorp due March 2014 and requires US

Airways to maintain $850 million of unrestricted liquidity--it

is currently in compliance. The company has substantial

debt maturities due during the next four years: $270 million

due in 2011, $450 million due in 2012, $420 million due in

2013, and $1.6 billion due in 2014. Although we forecast

that US Airways should generate strong free cash flow, we

project that it will tap the capital markets to fund all of its

debtlike obligations during the next five years. We currently

assign US Airways a credit rating of CCC

Status quo of the standoff. I hear on the upgrade front, things are really starting to get cooking. The eastern training unit is gearing up for a lot of work coming up, and many, many upgrades expected. Many to the higher paying equipment.
USAPA is in no box. It prevented the Nicolau from happening, and that is more than worth it for the easterners.
