I know your post is directed at all pilots, but I want all to know that I have had many people from the West making donations this year, more than last. I don't think they are all pilots, I can't tell about each donation, but they are getting involved. 🙂

IFurther, I go out of my way to make it a good experience for east pilots, whether they are jumpseating or deaheading on West metal, and expect nothing less from my east counterparts.

I feel my beliefs on seniority to be both valid and reasonable, and fully in accordance with what I perceive to be the essential laws of nature. I've precious little concern for what notions you, Mr. Nic, or "everybody else"...the supposed and often west referenced "rest of the world"/whatever hold to the contrary. 😉

That statement could be made by anyone trying to justify anything.

I imagine that terrorist bombers believe that they are valid and reasonable things to do.

Murders have valid and reasonable believes why they killed someone. But the rest of the world does not agree.

Ignoring binding arbitration and walking away from your word is bad karma and trying to justify it does no good. I notice you said you FEEL your believes. There you have why we are in the mess we are. Because a bunch of east pilots FEEL they are entitled to something. That east pilots FEEL emotional about not getting what they FEEL they deserve.

Next time the FAA calls you in to explain why you violated a rule just explain to him how you FEEL that it was not a violation and the you FEEL that you should not get suspended because the rules don't apply to you. See how that works out for you.

I agree with you, but that is the way of the world. Every July 4th we celebrate the actions of those that committed treason. Lot's of gray in the world. Look at the SCOTUS decision on Obama care. 5-4 and it's the law.

How's that list working for ya? we have DOH over here, lots and lots of upgrades coming, how about that west side. You guys blew it at Wye river and continue to do the same. I know your senior guys are pissed at you AFO's from conversations at the Crowne in CLT, they could have been on the big planes by now..

I stand by my statement...if the company coughed up the dough, we would have a contract NIC or no NIC.

Whose job is it to make "coughing up the dough" the lesser of two evils for the company?

It's the union's job, unfortunately we don't have one. We have a den of stupid thieves who are more interested in what they can steal from their coworkers than pressuring the company. They've destroyed any unity and leverage we might have had to mount a credible strike threat and strike if necessary.

T'was ever thus, in case you've zero knowledge of human history, and have missed that entirely.

I'm not trying to justify the Nic, so I'll leave that to others 😉 Seriously though Jake; I'd wish it integrated via a no bump basis, where none east could toss anyone from their perch out west. PHX as a "sacred cow" suits me fine.The nic insanity places "newbies" ahead of junior coworkers of ours, that put in well over a decade more of service. THAT, most certainly, violates "the essential laws of nature" in any book I've read or even ever heard of. Show me something/ANYthing comparable to that within the animal kingdom, and we'll talk further on this.

PS: If the suggestion, by reference to Homer, is that nic amounts to a perpetual motion machine (which it does, at least in matters of credulity)...well...I'll have to stick with thermodynamics/entropy here 😉
