Well i guess that makes you smarter and an all around better person because you make more money. (In your mind) Does that make you a better person than those on the east that make less than you? Do you go around the crew room pointing your finger and stating "I make more than you."

Do you have more vacation time, better work rules, better quality of life, weekends off, holidays off and those special days off that you need? It is not all about the money. But you guy feel the need to measure yourself. Pay rate and DOH. But you guys are about to find out that the pay rate is not the only thing in the contract. This American deal might have a decent pay rate but the rest of the work rules are going to suck. But going from your crappy rules to a little less crappy rules is an improvement.

But you know if you want to measure your worth by W-2 step right up against DAL, UAL, SWA, AA even in BK. Tell us how you come out.

What is it you make? Less than an F/O at DAL.

Hey, pal. It's you westies that keep telling us on the east that it's all about the money, and that we are squandering gazillions every second that we resist the Nicolau award and miss out on the Kirby proposal.

Talk to your own people about laying off the money bit, and maybe I won't have to make it clear to you that I am still tens of thousands of dollars ahead of you fools in PHX who couldn't get hired by a real airline with real compensation.

Wrong, my friend,

This guy has been a senior Cpt here for a long time. What's kool about him is that he could have sold out his more junior colleagues, but chose to stand with his co-workers against the inequities of the NIC. The NIC has no effect on him.

breeze

I hope it was worth it for him. Especially in retirement when he could have had the few extra $100K to spend on his family.

What is unkool about him is his senior position was saved in an eleventh hour reprieve, and in return he abets illegal union persuits rather than seeking an equitable distribution of the work created by the very thing that saved his position.

Being that he would like to see his "junior colleages" (you just admitted they are/were "junior") advance themselves at my expense, forgive me if I think he is nothing more than a lowlife scumbag who does not deserve the overly generous position Nicolau awarded him.

Oh, and he is an arrogant a-hole to boot!

Morning Boo Boo,

In your words " Complete crap ".

I really don't think your take on a negotiation process that started 7 years ago with many players over a long span of time in often closed sessions warrants such assured authority on how those " diehard DOH " played their cards. Spare me the document(s) you may have validating such a stance, it's never the whole story. The " he said.....she said " stories are historically irrelevant today. Your threat of dfr and ALL cowering to it going forward is nice HOPE for ya.......just keep repeating repeating repeating repeating repeating repeating

FA

Take it for what it's worth to you, but what I put up is far from a he said/she said story. It's the way it happened.

The transcripts, bet, back up the fact that you told Nicolau no to more time and that DOH with no fences was your final offer. And it is accepted fact that your MEC threatened to recall your MC if they moved off DOH.

The facts speak against you.

Move2clt/"typical west response" : "I hope it was worth it for him. Especially in retirement when he could have had the few extra $100K to spend on his family." Well "move", if you have to "hope", then nothing whatsoever will likely EVER instruct you in the value of actually, Gasp! Choke!/No Way Dude!, doing the Right Thing in life. One must feel honest sympathy for such as yourself, seriously.

Nope. One source of income. And it's better than yours.

Always was, and will always continue to be so.

I'm sure it is. With as much time as you have in property and the fact that your more an likely flying a wide body, I'd hope that was true.

But compared to the industry and compared to most of my work rules, you're doing marginally better, if that.

Gasp/choke? What is it you have jammed down your throat?

So you don't think taking care of your family is important? Family isnt first for you?

1) The continuous stench of yourself and all those sorts who's "Bible" has but one phrase = "It's ALL about MEEEEE!" From such people come the evils of this world of ours, selfishness being the root of most all such.

2) What an utterly pathetic attempt at "spin". Exactly where does the borderline of "family" draw it's self? While it's extremely clear that you would have ZERO concerns for coworkers of many years...well...not all are equally infected with the "All about MEEE!" virus as are you and your sad sort.

Let me get this straight.

You got hired by a shithole airline that could not afford to pay "real compensation" and ended up bankrupt for doing so for a short term, and you are making fun of the airline that bought your about to go chapter 7 carcass?

Yep, now I know where the usapians get their delusions of grandeur.

Let me get this straight.

You got hired by a shithole airline.....

Hmmm...OK. "Let me get this straight" as well: You were hired by AWA....and that was the, no kidding, very best you could manage to do?....Sigh!...I think we're done here.

Per your: "Yep, now I know where the usapians get their delusions of grandeur" Well...I've always wondered where such as yourself get yours. Perhaps you could expand on that for the benefit of those of us that just don't see the slightest possible basis for such 😉

Said the guy on LOA93.

Yawn.

Pal,

How'd that real airline you got hired do compared to AWA? How many accidents did the real pilots at your real airline have compared to AWA?
