More amazing than their digestive system is a polar bear's sense of smell.
It is 8 times more sensitive than a bloodhounds, and likely 100s if not 1000s of times more sensitive than a human's. A polar bear can smell a seal under the ice at a distance of almost 2 miles, and it seems likely they can smell usapa headquarters in CLT from well north of the arctic circle.
