June - US Pilots Labor Discussion

I have no delusions. I understand what binding arbitration means. I also understand what Duty of Fair Representation means. Further, I do not complain that my relative seniority was eroded by the Nic, or promote a remedy to that fact that would steal from east pilots.

Also, yep, AWA was not the "best I could do", but It turned out to be better than I actually expected when I left what you in your ignorance of historical fact would likely be consider a better airline to come here. Oh, and I say "here", because that is just what it is, AWA remains operating as LCC dba USAIrways. Where is your defunct airline except owned by "the best I could do"?
Very well said. Could not agree more.

While not applicable to this mere labor squabble; there are cases that arise where even one's own life, quite properly, becomes a secondary concern to performing one's duty. My family members arern't suffering in the least from my taking a stand on the nic nonsense.

Per your "You're everything that's wrong with our society" ...You live in area bereft of any reflective surfaces, much less mirriors, one must assume.

Blah, blah, blah - I have your bereft right here (insert crotch chop motion)

Again, you sidestep the question. Is work more important than the comfort of your family? Would having the extra few $100K not make your family more financially secure?

You live in an area bereft of logic and common sense. To even insinuate that work comes first over family in ANY situation is morally repugnant.

The actual "Army of Leonidas", who's memory you all shame with your infantile, and absurdly pretentious "association" with, most definately felt otherwise as to the importance of their "work". King Leonidas is noted as having told his wife to "Find a good man, marry and have sons" prior to his leaving forThermopylae. Perhaps a slight study of history would serve you well. I'm sure their spirits would greatly benefit from your more "enlightened" perspective.

Who said anything about recalling Hummel? The drive is to recall the two current PHL reps who want to fight him at evry turn. Please pay attention.

True on Recall issue.
However, my vote says Phl needs reps that BETTER represent the Phl majority like PM and Spike. JW is junior, but fails miserably in representing his constituents. MG has been terrific !

GH is a sept 84 and will never incur pain the majority is exposed to.

PM is a great balance and no alliance constraints!
Polls close at 2pm est.
Plz vote Paul Music!

What is unkool about him is his senior position was saved in an eleventh hour reprieve, and in return he abets illegal union persuits rather than seeking an equitable distribution of the work created by the very thing that saved his position.

Being that he would like to see his "junior colleages" (you just admitted they are/were "junior") advance themselves at my expense, forgive me if I think he is nothing more than a lowlife scumbag who does not deserve the overly generous position Nicolau awarded him.

Oh, and he is an arrogant a-hole to boot!

And you sir never rise above your level It's obvious you prefer to wallow in the muck. The venom in your posts is proof. I abet nothing. I pay my dues to the current cba as I did to the former and would do to the next cba if I would still be working here ....if and when the change comes.

Only you would reach that far.

Pathetic. It's obvious that I've won this argument with the kind of reply you just posted.

And, again, you failed to answer the question.

At least we know you can tap dance.

See today's article in the street.com also available through a link on yahoo airline industry news. In it Scott Kirby says there will be a joint contract between USAPA and APA the day the merger takes effect. THEN, the pilot seniority situation will be solved throughout the M-Bond process, which inevitably would involve binding arbitration. Kirby says this will be a "fresh start" to the pilot seniority resolution process.

If that's truly what your "take" is on that....well...you again prove worthy of my earnest sympathy, as you will, very most likely, just never "get it" as to how to live any semblance of a decent life.

Hint: "It's ALL about MEEE!" ain't how to do it, nor is the feeble attempt of using one's family to "justify" personal greed....

Spike has been ineffectual as a rep. With at least a more unified BPR we'd be able to accomplish something. Spike is a leftover piece if the Cleary admin that the company refused to work with. They seem willing to work with Hummel and putting in reps that support that would only benefit us. I do think it's a bit late as this will put it into the summer and by then much of this will be decided without us. I don't think we'll have a unified BPR before this is done and USAPA is removed as our CBA.

Said the guy who puts family second.

Posts from someone with that sort of moral character have no value or substance.

I just don't understand how you can put family second. Probably cheated on your wife and are divorced now.

PM has no alliances. Really. How about a gentlemen's wager that PM votes with McKee, Spike, Mike and CLT 95% or better of the time.

I hope it was worth it for him. Especially in retirement when he could have had the few extra $100K to spend on his family.

Ethically, definitely worth it. It has been immensely satisfying to see the east pilot group unite against the egregious screwup at the hands of George Nicolau.

Financially, the money doesn't matter....just ask Cleardirect. Or, does it matter? Obviously it matters a lot to you. You guys need to get your stories straight. The money obviously, in the west mindset, matters very much when you can point out how much we on the east have been "losing," and that the west gets paid "so much more" (what a joke that is.) Cleardirect points out how much more Delta pilots get than me. Well, those Delta pilots are leaving you in the dust, too, every second we keep the Nicolau at bay. And the east pilots left you in the dust since day one of your pathetic little American West Airlines opened its decrepit doors.

But, when I point out that a fairly large percentage of east pilots (A330 and 767) are really on an equal footing, or ahead of the west, Clear comes out and vilifies us that we care too much about monetary comparisons.

You are all incredibly small and narrow-minded men and women.

At least I have the basis for the arrogance, at least relative to you. You're simply the latter.
