Many east pilots supported some sort of legal action to stop the attempts to disrupt communications, vulgar and profane emails and text messages which were targeted at USAPA officers, reps and committee members but were often inadvertently intercepted by family members. I personally read a couple that were sent to F/O's I was working with who served on committees. The alleged mailing of hazmat was never proven, and it has been suggested that the perpetrators could have even been east - nevertheless, the incidents happened during a volatile period and at a fragile stage of the new union. Most east pilots wanted the nonsense to stop.

The RICO surprised many. When the activity ceased but the lawsuit continued, many of us wanted it dropped and communicated the same to our leadership and reps. It went on for too long and caused considerable damage, financial and emotional, to at least a few in the west who were largely innocent.

An apology from Hummel would cost nothing, do nothing to weaken our position on the seniority dispute and demonstrate that he is serious about guiding this pilot group, east and west, through the treacherous waters ahead.

So in response to your post, I supported some sort of action and you know what my rationale was. If you still feel I'm a FCSPOSOTHO then so be it. Should we resume our discussion of the safety aspects of sharing the same cockpit?

The day after the 9th ruled...who do you think targeted and took down the AWAPPA web site with a malicious virus attack? Posters on this thread claimed responibility.

Hummel making an apology might be a start, but usapa owes the West pilot class many millions in dues collected during their failure to represent and downright attack on West membership.

Further, the reason the RICO attack was not continued after being dismissed WITH PREJUDICE in Federal Court, and persued in state courts like usapa promised, is because state courts have anti-SLAP provisions and usapa would have been handed their asses and likely seen some of their officers sent to the big house for their rolls in corupt union politics.....one of the reasons RICO statutes were created in the first place....and BTW....where is Mowery's laptop?

A complete lie on Theurer's part. What he meant to say was, "my career has been tripped up in the past because of mergers, but this merger saved my ass and got me my left seat back.....now if can just steal from the West and advance my position further, then I will be back to where I feel I should be".

Again Einstein.....I have been an A320 Captain since long before the merger...long before scab Theurer got his seat back because of the merger, and definitely long before you could not even figure out what the 9th had to say about usapa's duty of fair representation.

Get back to me in 20 years when I am long since retired after having spent decades in the left seat you and your buddies failed to steal.

Until every east scum apologizes to the west pilots who were decimated by the RICO witch hunt, and maybe adds to that a check for $10K to cover the unnecessary legal expenses they've suffered, they have earned their cloak of disdain. Their tacit approval ( and overt support) of such tactics sickens me.

The day of reckoning is fast approaching and things will start to happen quickly in a few weeks. It would be wise to prepare yourselves for a SLI with the Nic being used to represent our pilot group.

Its good to see that easties like Piedmont1984, Trader, and DCA319 starting to see the light for what it really is. Even eastUS posts with some trepidation as to this going favorably for USAPA.

Ask yourselves this:

You are the majority. You control the union and negotiations. If your arguments are strong and true the why, after these many years, have you not submitted a list that the company has accepted? And why hasn't USAPA's legal found loopholes?

Don't you easties think that if the Nic could be tossed that it would have been already? After all, with the truth and majority on your side why is it the company has not taken this path of least resistance?

And why is it that Parker even acknowledges the west with his talk of a three way list if, being the majority, you should be able to submit your own?

After all these years with all that money and political advantage, why have you not been able to pass your own list across the table? Why is it Parker's legal time acknowledged only the Nicolau award in the DJ?

All you have are easties posting opinions out of context or partial citations. You look for loopholes to get around the Nic or compromise? Why? You have the power, don't you?

If you were outsiders looking at your history, would you bet on yourselves for the win? Aren't these arguments you put up the same ones you used for LOA93 and snapbacks? And where is your 3% raise? MDA?
