It's going to be the "3-3-3-1 Plan".

Three pilot groups.

Three contracts.

Three rates of pay.

One paint job.

The problem with your scenario is the West contract became amendable in 2006...the east's in 2010.

Are you suggesting that in a future merger the company would open themselves to the very precarious position of having one union with 3 contracts that are all amendable?

Simple solution there for the union. Take the most out of date contract ..i.e the West's. Go section 6 with it, demand better pay than the current top scale or shut down the airline, jacking up that corner of the building, then do the same with the east's contract, etc. etc.

See, you are assuming the APA is as stupid as usapa and wants to make gains by stealing it from one side of their membership to give it to the other.
 
While I very rarely find agreement with that poster: Who TF are YOU to tell anyone they "need to stop"?...some "closet communist"? 😉 I find your posts "horrid", almost akin to an overly perfumed, and incessently waving White Flag...such doesn't afford me any sense that I should arrogantly "instruct" you, or anyone "to stop".

Yet posters like Claxon post ignorant and absurd statements praising Mike. And for what? An injunction. We have no contract and continue on LOA93. We have wasted years trying to fight what is inevitable. Pretending certain facts don't exist and twisting reality won't make Nicolau go away. A poster a few pages back asked alot of questions and not one east pilot answered even the simplest one. Sticking your head in the sand isn't going to change things. Claxons foolish posts make use look like jihadists. There's a fine line between courage and stupidity and right now you and some others are not on the courageous side.

Amusing indeed, as, from the summary of all your postings I've seen...I can't honestly imagine you ever being on the "courageous" side 😉 It's just an airline deal...not the end of the world in any case....It's not like there are any incoming shells/missles/etc...Take a breath and relax your "spine" a bit 😉
 
This post is completely absurd. Mike did more to hurt our cause and place us out of position for this merger. Your posts are horrid and you need to stop.

All of Claxon's post are absurd to the point of deranged. Similarly, Cleary made deranged statements all the time. My favorite was when Steve Johnson had to tell him he was making a fool of himself at a company labor meeting.

Still find it absurd that Cleary had a following of dellusional usapians too stupid to understand nobody gave a rats a$$ what they thought, all the time thinking they were in control.

Still want to know what Parker told Cleary during the UAL merger attempt that sent the scab running to the 9th begging them to make an "emergency decision". Which, BTW, that request was shut down becasue the 9th already knew usapa was not getting their DOH "unquestionably ripe DFR".

ummm...did you miss that whole TWA DFR against ALPA thing??

and...the APA had no DFR toward the TWA pilots prior to integration. We are talking about a post-integration scenario involving 3 pilot groups,,,3 contracts....3 payscales...1 paintjob and 1 union with a DFR towards all 3 groups. I am just pointing out to Seejay why it won't work that way.

Even I wonder sometimes if you type for the sake of hearing yourself type. And I have had no union involvement beyond a vote.

Nic is probably one of the TWA guys that got furloughed at AA and then scored a new job at AWA, and now realizes s/he is entitled to be a captain at AA when the merger happens. :lol:
