The Callaway manager must be a smiling disciple of Franke. Pleased as punch to screw as many employee groups as possible. The new chance to screw their own at the behest of AA must be especially pleasing to the management golfer.

= What was offered by the west in the way of any fences ever? What did I miss there?

From what Pi posted from the Nic, looks like the West suggested a 2 year fence around the 9 existing 330s.

When added to the great compromise we were offering in the first place, that was generously sufficient.

Now, where is the offer of fences around the 144 West aircraft and the 900 West captain seats the east was trying to get their hands on? You won't find that offer being made, because as Pi also pointed out, there was no need for fences with the east offer of stapling the West.

Parker is hosing all of us. 500 Million into the APA retirement fund, and the huge increases in medical. I know the West has low fees now but that is ending. Your raise out there is sucked away in medical costs. Unbelievable. There goes any pay raise for anyone after the East and West pay for the APA mess.

I am liking the idea of a threeway seniority integration more and more.

When the east ends up losing position relative to the Nic.....don't say I didn't tell you so.

oh...and enjoy that LOA93 this summer.

Words just fail me here....What "great compromise"?...We never even got offered a way-cool-Dude T shirt 😉

You still think you're relevant to this merger?

Nic4US has finally been broken and admits there will be a three way with no Nic. That plus a nice big contribution to the AA pilots medical fund. As well as no vacation gains, and loss of minimum day to a lower value.  That, is going to make for a long, hot summer.........All the risk.........

There was no need for fences had the east proposal been accepted.

The fence we proposed was on the table. You guys wanted nothing to do with it because you had you DOH blinders on. You disengaged from the talks and all offers came off the table.

Your east offer sucked. Guess who hit the street first in a furlough.

You still think you're relevant to this merger?

Well certainly. By previously employed...umm..."logic"; aren't the APA folks, in their bankrupt company, being "saved" here? Does not that suppose some grandly ascendant postion for those "saving" them? 😉 Do you see just how utterly ridiculous that BS fantasy, by which the nic was "justified" truly was now?

Give up??? Parity was going to come out of YOUR pockets? You didn't mind our MEC dividing the profit sharing with you, a fact that many of you will not acknowledge. I can't see one ounce of truth or logic in this.

Splain it to me...

Driver...

Profit sharing and parity were negotiated separately by our respective MECs.

We succeeded and you failed because we had leverage and no oop costs to the company.

You failed because you had no leverage and the costs to bring you up to parity prior to a completed merger were to expensive.

No one helped each other. We were each on our own.

But what you are doing is subsidizing my check and I thank you for that.

And now you get to subsidize an outsized proportion of the AA medical insurance. Your stand to shoulder the largest increase in portion of all, but don't worry- we are all sure we can count on you!

The fence we proposed was on the table.

This just gets tiresome, ever even trying to make any sense of your BS. You claim 7 years, while nic4us notes: "From what Pi posted from the Nic, looks like the West suggested a 2 year fence around the 9 existing 330s." What truly were the details of ANY supposed "fence we proposed"?

Nevermind, as it's all just history now....

No,,,I am thinking the West contract being the stronger at LCC, and the West's minimal financial upside to a merger, makes for a pretty good arguement in front of an arbitrator. We will still show him/her the Nic, and suggest that be the starting point for how s/he moves the east down relative to West positions.

But, in reality, I still do not see how you get past 2 airlines, 2 unions, 3 pilot groups??? either the west is represented by usapa or not, if it turns out to be not...and a 3 way ensues.....somebody owes the West 4 years of union dues and 5 years of lost wages,.....oh...looky here...another arguement to make in front of an arbitrator as to why West positions should be advanced, they need to be to recoup from the about to be extint arbitration reneging usapa.
