June - US Pilots Labor Discussion

Some of what you said is correct, but there are some who would disagree with your last point. The folks who decided they could use the raw emotions of the Nicolau award to advance an agenda that harmed west pilots including the presently furloughed, deserve the monikers they get. And those whose vindictiveness extended to the RICO suit, producing harm to those innocent west pilots who had to unnecessarily pay for a legal defense, those folks have earned the disdain cast on them. And finally and most disturbingly is the vast number of pilots who gave tacit approval by allowing Cleary unfettered reign.

No, there definitely are some very bad people on the east side who have been allowed to cause unnecessary harm, that cannot be denied.

Well said...

You pretty much spelled out the way I feel.

It takes two to tango.

The West pilot group is just as much to blame for our current situation.
BS!

When the thief breaks into your house is the home owner to blame?
Do you blame the rape victim for being in the wrong place?
The driver that gets killed by the drunk that crosses the line.

Do these people share the blame in their situation? Stop it. You guys are completely and totally at fault for what has happened. The west followed the rules and the east refused to honor your agreement.

Living the dream on the other option Lakefield talked about. AWA was NOT the only game in town. It just looked like the best option (at the time).

What was plan B?

Oh that's right liquidate. That was the only other option. US Airways was out of time and money.

Next crew news ask Parker what the other options where without the merger. How much time you have before the doors closed.

HP didnt buy US, how many times do we have to correct you?

US proposed the merger and raised the funding, will you ever learn that fact?

While you are at it..I suggest you also correct the SEC....the FAA....the NMB...the NLRB...the Wall Street Journal....the Associated Press..etc..etc..etc....

You seem to really be hung up on this....The only fact that you have correct is that US proposed a merger...but they did not do that unilaterally either.

"Just as much to blame"? Really??

Well, the West is going to be completely, in totality, without exception, the only group to blame when the east's hopes of scabbing West jobs are shut down and the bump and flush comes a calling.

Oh, do enlighten us on all the offers that were coming in. This should make for some very interesting farie tales.

The NLRB? They have nothing to do with airlines and the RLA.

Read this again, and then maybe you will finally get it.

No, we're not.

Defending an agreement does not put any blame on us.

Back to your hole.

Regardless of your or my perspective, events that happened and when, the what if's and could have beens. Judge Silver may rule soon, (or not in time) for an agreement between APA and USAPA. ( I think both sides are leary of the arbitrariness of an Arbitrator, if they can aviod it). This will become a footnote in our collective history. Thankfully...
