Layoffs coming soon !

The problem with the 146s is the engines did not last and have a very short life and had to be overhauled, why do you think PSA started Aeromotive to overhaul their own engines.

Good observation, but only partly true. PS Airmotive began in the mid '70,s (I know because I applied there many times), Airmotive was a very proftable off-shoot of PSA, they rebuilt many different engines, for many different air carriers. The true part of your statement is the ALF-502 engine did have a short life-span (BAe-146), originally about 10 hrs on wing, later they did something different & we got about 500 hrs on wing, which was still short of the mandatory removal time that we had on the MD-80's (JT8D-???). Im not trying to be confrontational, but If you want to argue about "Killer B's or Mad Dogs" dont let me in the arena, because you will lose.

I'm an old EA guy....I have to share a slogan we lived with after all the paycuts, takebacks and "money saving programs we got put on us" we had tee-shirts printed with the EA Logo saying....I Love My F*#KING COMPANY,AND MY COMPANY LOVES F*#KING ME.........LOL

Get to work Shannon.....I want one of the shirts that Whisperjett spoke of only with the US logo. Get to work girl. How fitting huh?

That is great... Maybe now that our union dues have gone up, and AFA spent all that money on getting Delta, maybe we can get them to foot the bill for these.....they love spending our money... why not for this!!!

Just my opinion...

C'mon Shannon you could ALWAYS call on TwinHill for help in getting those shirts out to the masses. Hell for that matter stickers, bag tags, key chains.....LOVE IT! ! ! ! Oh and for those management readers.....I'm talking about Shannon who is based Antarctica.

That sounds good. I need to get rich. I left my creativity in the seatpocket.

Well if we got laid off or took some sort of VF just imagine the time we'd have on our hands. Well not the weekends as we'd be using flight benefits to hop to LAS for lunch. People DO that ya know.

That is fantastic!

PSA started Aeromotive long before the 146. A subsidiary of PSGroup, as was PSA, it enabled PSGroup to charge 4 times the going rate for engine work, basically keeping PSA in the red and directing cash to the group. Great scam until they got caught up in the dollar/yen inversion.

It was, per Schofield, a great way to milk a cash cow. It seems Dougie uses a slightly different way to milk, maximizing use of the accounting rules in effect now. Too bad the employees haven't caught on to either scam.
