I don't know the specifics but just read what it said in agreement.
US is getting 3 more 757's that are E-Top. Is there any possibility that any current ones can be converted to it? I guess it depends when they take delivery of the 3, but those three can actually fill in till they get their 757's rated. Then again it may not be possible.
When are they due to get the A330-200's? Are there any possibilities of moving them up?
But the pictures were taken in May 2005.US-west brought some of their 757's up to ETOPS standards so why could it not be done on the 757's at US-east that are able to be upgraded? Also on that airliners.net site it states that those 757's parked there are intended for an airline called VIM. If you type in the individual tail number and scroll down the pics it is mentioned there. I do hope there is some truth to this rumor. It would be VERY nice.
i just e-mailed scott kirby about it. just now and he quickly responded.
answer is 1st question is second
a:It's a possibility but far from a certainty

VIM wanted to lease these 4 a/c that were formerly operated by ATA. Apparently, they never did. Here is a picture of the 4 of them taken in October 2005 in Munich. But the pictures were taken in May 2005.
listen buddy , i don't know who you think you are. or who you think i am . but when it comes to things like this . i do not b/s. i have e-mailed scott many times on many issues and everytime he responds . everytime. i am sure he is like that with other people as well. i am not special. just an employee who is interested in what going on with the company. you don't want to beleive me, then be my guest. but many people on here know who i am and they know i would not make s##t up.Hey Etops, old buddy, old pal
Who are you and why do you think I am going to provide you, and only you, with information?
Put the pipe down. You are at work.

look for a possible announcement on new european routes to lisbon , milan ,& stockholm sweden on the 20th. got it from a credible source. i hope i am not wrong on this.
And of course the terminal was built ready for expansion, but no talk of that, unlike at airports like CLT that actually give a damn about the airline that pays the airport's bills. Leave it to PHL...
Er, BOS-LHR is not exactly operated with a 757 by AA or anyone else. AA currently has 2x 772 on the route. You're confusing it with either the seasonal BOS-MAN or BOS-SNN.
ETOPS is real tricky, the first 3 AWA AC where not to bad because of the way they where configured all the rest basicly require huge amounts of rewiring and large cost and that is not inlcuding the Boeing ransom of some 3 million for paperwork to rate the gears as Hvy (which technicaly is unrelated to ETOPS)! Just a balpark is at least 2 million a AC when all is said and done. That is a lot of tickets to sell in a low margin business?
