End game in near. Talks didn't start last week. They started before Anderson left. Bankruptcy filing same time, Comair for sale, Pinnical flying for both NW and DL. Writing has been on the wall.

Excellant point "bagboy",....And Oberstar is ALREADY "startin his sh!t"

With each passing hour, of each passing day, IMHO, this is looking more and more a DL/UA deal.

Despite Steenland trying to "sell out" to Anderson/DL/ATL......The chairman of the Aviation sub committee.....Jim Oberstar, Is a BULL DOG, when it comes to "messing with NW", and ESPECIALLY any attemt to pull jobs(think HDQ's) out of MSP.

Anderson has said he won't dance with anyone unless it's the Delta name that survives, and that the HQ stays in ATL.

Is he blowing smoke? Who knows. But it'll cost him $215 million dollars if he's indeed serious.

Linky here.

I agree with all of that except for the 9E part...I think the reason they bought Colgan Air (and thus can fly for DL) was a pre-emptive strike against NWA in case they wanted to move all-or at least a lot more- flying over to either XJ or CP.
