Actually now that you mention it ..... No I don't find that odd at all, I think that both AMFA & the Teamsters have realized that with the TWU offering us crap contracts the Mechanics are very upset so now is a perfect time to try & get them to make a change, I agree it is the perfect time, If the Teamsters were just handing out a few cards & not spending probably a 100,000+ dollars on the card drive then I might be suspicious but there is no way I'm ever going to believe that the Teamsters or the TWU is going to spend that kind of money to try & kill an AMFA drive that I don't believe the TWU or AA even consider to be a threat right now, that's why neither the TWU or AA has put any effort into trying to stop it, at some point if the drive really takes off they might see it differently & start worrying but I don't think they are there yet, I believe that the Teamsters are in fact raiding Unions all over the country (Google it) because they are tired of playing nice & want more money & power & that's why they are no longer in the afl-cio, all Unions want more Members for both those reasons, Money is a VERY powerful motivator it trumps friendship, The real question is whether there is a chance for either Union to get enough cards with the huge division between AA Mechanics, I think that it's not likely, it hasn't happened in the 25 years that I have been with AA but time will tell.

It's not about me being comfortable in my manhood, I'm tired of people insulting each other that is "NOT" what is Board is about it's about exchanging idea's & opinions for someone to insult someone else from the other side of a keyboard in my opinion has always been the epitome of "cowardness" it's real easy to insult someone from a keyboard but doing it person is a WHOLE different matter, if someone wants to insult someone than that is something that really needs to be done in person not over a keyboard, that in my opinion is ridiculous, I take insults personal because they are personal, opinions on issues isn't person in my opinion but don't insult someone behind a KEYBOARD just because you don't like their opinion, lets all actually be Men here and act like Men not like cowards !!
I have no problem with ratting someone out who acts like a coward insulting people when he doesn't like their opinion on an Issue, if that is what it takes for him to follow Board rules & common etiquette then he can either act like a decent human being or be banned & go insult people somewhere else

If were among Union "MEN" as you say then they can act like Men, I personally don't consider myself to be a Union Man i'm a Man who is in a Union there is a difference, I tolerate it like most other Men who are in a Union & if I have to be in a Union to work for a specific company & pay dues I at least want to get my moneys worth which is why I'm looking to switch Union's, with the TWU & all the concessions I'm not getting my moneys worth.

You know if it wasn't for the fact that companies can fire Employee's who express their opinions about the Company in a negative manner I think everyone should have to use their real names, I guarantee you that if people used their real names like Ken does they would be VERY careful about what they say to someone, the Insults would be few & far between but hiding behind an Alias & a keyboard makes some people very brave ...... Go figure, all the wimps of the world have finally found a forum where they can be equal & Insult people that they would never be able to in real life.

Yes I understand that Alias are Necessary to keep from getting fired, we all know that the company can & has fired people over public comments about them, but because we use alias it is even more important to not Insult each other that is cowardly & we all know it, if someone wants to insult someone at least send them a private message giving your name so that the person their insulting can come by & have a private chat with them about it.
As for me using a different personna that is either paranoid or if people really do that then I really don't get it, that fact that you think it is going on is a bit suspicious also, someone who does that just might suspect others of doing it, were all in entitled to our opinions, I have no problem with people knowing who I am as I stated Dave, Don, Ken & several others know who I am, I just have a problem with the company being able to PROVE who I am so they can fire me if I say something they don't approve of, If you really need to know who I am then ask any one of those guys & they will be glad to tell you i'm sure.

Nothing wrong with be a bull in a china shop or being a bull anywhere as far as i'm concerned, their is a difference between ribbing someone & Insulting them, As I said just stick to the Issue if you want to personally Insult someone do it in Person not behind a keyboard, I don't have to put up with personal attacks because you don't like my opinion & think I should think like you do ..... If the company really wanted to, they can and will find you through your IP address.
