More Waste Of Money

Contact USA320 and FLYAWAY to show the Vendor how to clean the aircraft. They are big supporters of "Outsourcing" unless of course it's their job.. Then they whine.

I wonder how they would feel if the company decided to wetlease all of its flying to Ryan International and just eliminate all of the pilots at US Airways?? They would probably be upset.

Com'on the two of you.. Make your comments.. Tell us how that could not be done.. Then of course you can look out your window and see the A320's in AirTran colors and wonder "Geez how do they do that"..

It's called PAINT..

I think in the long run US Airways would be better off if it Outsourced all of the pilot functions and just bought paint.. Have Ryan fly the aircraft and US Airways buys the paint.. Pretty simple..

This is just insanity!!!! Outsourcing of aircraft CLEANERS is a much different scenario than "outsourcing" pilots! Get a grip on REALITY, man!! Like it or not, this is the "NEW" aviation industry. None of us may like it, but think before you compare apples to oranges!! GOOD DAY!!!!!!

At my airline they put a huge premium on RON cleaning, but almost *no* premium (read: staffing, or supplies) on turn or through cleaning. I can't tell you how many times I've heard, "just get the big stuff." This despite constant feedback from flyers naming it as one of the top 2 or 3 factors in choosing an airline.....

From what I have heard is that they are having problems with getting poeple through what else the background check and drug test. I have come to find out that the vendor is suppose to be Air General. They handle our air freight in CLT. If they clean our aircraft like they do are air freight you might as well clean the aircraft with a high pressure hose.

The vendor in CLT is a company called Jetstream. They are letting people work without the background checking being completed (this is going on systemwide with all vendors) and if it comes back and they fail they will fire them. Great way for someone to get access when they should not.

I wish I had a nickel for every time a F/A in the last 15 yrs told me I wish we had Wang and the gang back in CLT to clean these a/c.

Don't worry your wish will come true.

Just remember when they dragged the trash down the center aisle carpet on the 727s and carpets were sticky as could be.

And I love your callous attitude about 800 of your co-workers hitting the streets.

Typical pilot.

Interestingly, Jetstream was started by, and operated by furloughed US Airways employees from an outstation (I think it was AVP). Kinda ironic eh...?

I have seen their work in a few stations, and they seem to be one of the better vendors we currently use.

Anyways, good luck with the transition, and whereever it leads.
